Is correct. In a different environment, he might well be the answer, time to develop a new culture etc.
But from pre season onwards, the pattern on the pitch has not been good, signs were there of a middling squad, no penetration etc. Then loss of confidence, a recipe for a relegation battle. Unfortunately this is now proving true .
I was of the view in the beginning that loads of new names meant diddly squat without quality. We always get carried away thinking new means better. Our recent past years transfer history proves otherwise. With the best will in the world from our owners, they don't have the real cash for a promotion
I think the sensible thing to have done once Sheehan had gone was to look for an experienced EFL head, get us solid and safe, and worry about next season in the Summer. Safety was what we needed, not experimenting with a Div 2 Portuguese guy.
And this is no criticism of him. But as JB says, those who did the appointing have likely got it wrong. But I hope I'm wrong though
