Vitor Matos on West Bromwich Albion | Reaction

So 2 games (admittedly early) and he's patently failing, losing 2 winnable games.

So what is his plan because so far, hes picking the same shape that Sheehan did and roughly the same players in the same positions. Which wasn't working with Sheehan. Hes also displaying Sheehans propensity to panic change the line up from week to week so far.

So presumably, instead of changing anything fundamental, it looks like his plan is to get us simply playing better (mayhe pressing more etc) but within the same framework that Sheehan was using?
Panic change his team……..He’s managed two matches and more than likely had very little say in the line up that faced Derby.

He's had at most 3 full training sessions with the players, give him a bloody chance.
He's now got a week to work with them before the Oxford game so at least see what the approach is in that game.
It was a bizarre post.

The bloke only officially joined the club on Monday.

Absolutely, I've never once we should sack him now.

Are there signs so far that he plans on doing anything different to Sheehan from your opinion?
He’s never going to be able to make the type of changes you’re talking about in a week, these players have had months and months if not years in some cases of being drilled to play a particular way and it’s not going to be easy to “retrain” them overnight.

The guy needs time.

He's more calmer than me. Maybe that's what blind loyalty to this club does. I'm sure I'll end up with a heart problem by end of this season. If I die, just don't have the players carry my casket. They might fall asleep and drop me. 😂😂
What do you mean "IF you die?"

Is so true. The culture of pass to the nearest player, mostly sideways and back. Remember those old triangles where players were always looking for space to receive, then move forward positively etc etc.

It depends on what his plan is - if its to keep the shape, tactics and same players as Sheehan but do it better (maybe press more etc) then yes to get them fitter to do that will take a long time.

If its trying something else instead of repeating what Sheehan was doing which wasn't working, id say that could be done quicker. Whether it would work i dont know, but this is the question im posing - so far hes kept it as it was. And we've lost 2 winnable games, no manager bounce.
