10. Cheeky twat. 🤣 I remember watching it with my old man though. BBC1. Peter West. Jim Laker, Richie Benaud and all that. One of my early sport watching memories.
I remember it clearly. Watched it with my mam. She loved her cricket and we couldn’t believe what was happening. Better coverage as they had one main camera, so every other over was behind the stumps as Willis and Old knocked them flying.

6 months later little scared me packed my bag to seek my fortune in old London Town. It really can’t be nearly 45 years ago.

10 ffs you pup, I was 20 in 81 and married in 83 cheeky twat indeed :ROFLMAO:

I had my accident in 1979 and used to go pop up on my crutches to see my Nan and Gramps most days cause mam and dad were in work and i used to really enjoy their company and my nan used to spoil me and Gramps loved the cricket so used to sit and watch it with him and learnt the game from him, great days sadly missed,

That’s frightening, where has that time gone? I was 28 then and was married for 4 years. 😳

Peter West broadcasting from wooden seats of the posh Members enclosure , a bench by the way , on an Alan Jones 50 v Surrey in the Gillette Cup way back in the day .

I had sneaked in as a youngster via a kindly gate attendant sat on his wooden stool .

He was live and professional in his match report , no spotlights or editing , all done there to a radio audience , TMS still springs to mind and their coverage even now .

Gillette Cup , 60 0vers a side and a total daily tally of 120 overs , get your monies worth of course and games finishing in in darkness on occasions .

Swansea City v Portsmouth
