Vitor on the problem of his coaches.

He literally left his coaches in limbo and signed on the dotted line, knowing full well his coaches may not be with him.. nobody likes the truth.. if he had any honour or scruples he wouldn't abandon them.. truth, nobody likes it
Feck me, if it isn't Saint Penlan! 😂😂😂

As an outsider living in the US, you are slamming your head against a brick wall here. Almost everyone from Wales is pro-"Labour" and pro-EU. I don't think this is the place to discuss why.

Back on topic. The club are to blame here and partially Matos. If Matos was desperate to have his staff here, he and the club would know it would require to go through the proper channels.
The club were aware of the process which can take anywhere from 2 to 3 days up to 3 weeks to complete providing certain criteria are met it is probable the FA/FAW are not endorsing the appointments of the assistants....the club woukd have been aware of the criteria but as there has been precious precedent at other clubs assumed it was just a rubber stamping exercise.
Leon and Joey were appointed as interims to cover the period of the application process from which Matos was exempt as he was here previously with Liverpool....the club were aware put things in place but they cannot control the FA or the Home Office

Irony: arrogantly claiming those wanting to leave are "arrogant".

Tell me, do you also vote Labour?

It's not Brexit that's the problem here. I'm an American and, incredibly, I seemingly understand more on the set up of EU and Brexit than most pro-EU supporters, having been involved in many debates and discussions on the run-up to it.

The REAL issues caused by Brexit are the result of incompetent negotiation by the government, bad planning, poor structure and apparent, willful, sabotage of the process which, as you should remember, was conducted by a majority pro-EU government.

And the craziest part? It's just accepted! Nobody has even challenged his badly this was managed!

Hilarious that someone could write the bolded paragraph and accuse someone else of arrogance.

I have posted this previously and it explains the process the club would have been aware

You can apply for an International Sportsperson visa if you meet the eligibility requirements and your sport’s governing body endorses your application, confirming:

  • you’re an elite sportsperson or qualified coach
  • you’re internationally established
  • your employment will develop your sport in the UK at the highest level
This visa replaced the Sportsperson (T2) visa and the sporting part of the Temporary Worker - Creative and Sporting visa

In Wales the governing body is the FAW

No, you've massively misunderstood my point, which I should have made clear. The leave politicians showed nothing but contempt to the process and thought it would be the easiest thing ever (their words, not mine)

Then reality struck.

Using Brexit as the excuse is absolute bullshit-tier logic.

Can't see many other clubs having the same issue; has Hellberg for the same problem? This instead comes down to preparation -- by the club and the pro-EU government.

I'm not saying there aren't further delays now, but let's not kid ourselves -- post-Brexit failings are caused by your incompetent UK governments only half-arsed attempting to make the process work while failing to negotiate more efficient and better terms. Weak governments create problems such as this - and just liked that this has now become a politics thread!

You can bury your head in the sand as much as you want and pretend what you obviously voted for was an arrogant have your cake and eat it type wonderland but its not and never was going to be.

FACT - if the UK was still in the EU, the coaches would have been hired. We left so they aren't.

Everyone in Wales is probably EU yet Wales voted leave.

Step away from the coolade...

That's not a fact. Being in the EU is not a guarantee. This shows how ignorant you are.

I agree. There was incompetence and arrogance from both sides.

Politicians, like referees, are c*nuts!

Unfortunately people were lied to and a lot in Wales believed it. Although there is also research to say it was English people who have moved to Wales that swayed the vote.

I will never cease to be darkly amused by the irony that the biggest leave vote in Wales was from Blaenau Gwent, the area that received more EU funds than anywhere else in Wales.

There was a woman being interviewed on the news around that time in Ebbw Vale or somewhere similar, stood outside the library which had a European funding blue plaque on it and her main point was "What has Europe ever done for us!?".

Theres no helping that level of stupidity unfortunately.
