And for completeness I'll answer your question. There are ways that clubs can hire EU nationals as staff - Matos himself being one. However due to Brexit, working here is no longer possible for some (people working outside of top tier leagues).

Again simple- no Brexit and the staff are able to come. Brexit and the club need some sort of special dispensation which is not a certainty.

I'm pretty certain stopping freedom of movement was the number one issue for people to vote for Brexit, "taking back control of our borders" and all that, which obviously worked out very well!
