I didn’t think the ref had a bad game to be honest.

There were a few elbows to the head ungiven I thought

That was an absolutely awful quality game of football

We were poor

They were even poorer (how do you spend that amount of £ to be that bad?)

What won us the game was, and I hate the phrase even though it applies tonight, "we wanted it more"

Their keeper will NEVER live that down

It's just great to win and it was a great night for us, we deserved it (even though we didn't do it the way I thought we would)

We were’t poor - just need to be a bit more composed in and around the penalty area. We’re making the chances now.

Referee was shocking. No idea how others can say he was alright.

He was only shocking if you fall for the nonsense from Ronald and Franco in particular.

I thought the two he did get wrong were the tackle on Stamenic in the second half where he should have stopped play and the hand in the face from Moore in the second half where he missed it.

But every ref is going to get bits wrong. The major stuff I thought he was ok.

In my other post i mentioned Moore’s hand into someone’s face as one that he missed, but half of the issue is that our players make an absolute meal of it at times. Burgess also jumps with his arms out on occasion and catches someone. He is also strong into the back of the forward when they are both jumping. It’s part of the game to be honest.

Franco and Ronald are going down way too easy. Problem is referees are seeing this now. Thought it was a penalty and there was a few that should of gone our way. The standard for me even lines men are shocking.

The Ronald one definitely wasn’t a penalty. One of the side on angles on Sky showed it perfectly. No contact until Ronald wrapped his leg deliberately. The Franco penalty claim was an absolute embarrassment.
I thought the Ronald one was in real time.

Great atmosphere though and over the moon that our new manager wants us to get that ball forward.

Anyway. We’ve seen some bad ref performances this season. All in all I didn’t think tonight was one of them.

I honestly didn’t think it was that bad. It wasn’t the most composed performance. But that’s was due to Wrexham harrying us all over the pitch. I thought we did ok. Agree about some of the silly mistakes though.
