• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We shouldn't have any fear going into this match at all. Not being arrogant, it's just the nature of the league. We saw how ordinary runaway leaders Coventry were on Boxing Day. Oxford will rightly think they have a good chance at 3 pts, but so should we. I would not take a point now if offered, no matter how this game ends up.

Listening to Talksport this afternoon, the commentator who covered the game for them at Coventry (didn't catch his name) said he was very impressed with us until we reached the last third. He said if we can find a cutting edge, we will be more than decent.
To be fair. Cullen should of scored. Vip too. Ronald showed more intent too. On another day we would of scored. Good to hear outside feedback on where we are at. I do think we are not far off from being good team once we are more clinical.

Line Up - I Want

Vig

Galbraith
Cabango
Burgess
Tymon

Stamenic
Yalcouye
Widell

Ronald
Vip
Inoussa

I don't think Matos is gonna pick Yalcouye over Franco though. But Widell think will start. Eom to come on as sub

Does anyone know why (assuming I’m correct) the game isn’t on Sky Sport Plus (Red button) tomorrow night?

I assumed it would be the same as all the other midweek games during the season, especially as all fixtures on Boxing Day & New Year’s Day appear to be on there.

Oxford fan in peace. Really enjoyed the away game at the end of last season at your place - great entertainment and a nice rapport between both sets of fans. Didn't enjoy this season so much although met plenty of Jacks in the pub before and after the game and everyone was up for a good laugh.

Just thought I'd let you know that the Blackbird (or Bird) is a home fans pub despite it appearing on your official website. Although as long as you don't wear colours or shout the odds you'll most likely be welcomed. Also, since the matchday guide was published, the buses have changed and you can now get the 3A direct from the station to the ground. The bad news is that they only leave every half hour and I'm not sure what time the last one back to the station is after the game, plus it gets pretty packed with both home and away fans going back to the station.

Enjoy the game (but not too much!)

Fixed at a 1,059 games to be shown per season, this fixture round being one of the rounds that they pick and choose rather than showing them all.

"In total, 1,059 EFL matches are set to be broadcast across existing Sky Sports channels or live via a Sky Sports streaming destination available on TV and mobile devices."

Correct, even the Swansea Jack assumed it was on but had to correct themselves.

I think someone might have mentioned it before that Sky can only show X amount of midweek fixture rounds per season, but not all. I thought that had changed under the new TV contract but apparently not.

And yet, in that link you posted, it says:

"All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL will be shown live, as will all games played on Bank Holidays including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year's Day"

Tomorrow's is a midweek game so it should be televised. It seems they make it up as they go along
