25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Hull 2 Swansea 1 | Att: 21,912 | 24/01/26 | The EFL Championship | The MKM Stadium

Just to say, I thought we deserved to win or at least draw the game, mediocre first half, second half I thought we were the better team by far.

This championship is up for anybody to take, the position in the table of Hull really flatters them.

We are going to lose games. We’ll get hammered a few times as well no doubt.

We’re not going to have a team of £10m+ plus players all over the park so don’t expect them to be on top form every game.

It’s a decent enough squad we have, and a more than decent manager from early showing.

Some of you need to get a grip and be realistic ffs, spoilt by our time in the premier league some of you.

Pretty dour first half, second much better and we deserved at LEAST the draw, away to a team flying at the moment.

Uppafuckingswans and we go again.
The voice of reason

Deserved something from games against Coventry, Stoke , Millwall and today, simple fact is we have 0 points from them. There's no prizes for playing well and losing, 70 per cent possession from todays game, yet another defeat on the road.

You can account for not getting something from one or maybe 2 of the games mentioned but when it's 4 then there is questions to be asked.
We are struggling to pick up points away from home and that puts bigger pressure on our home games.
We need to start picking up games away from home and it needs to start against Watford, even a point would be something.

Well I’m on the positive side of that second half performance. Hopefully it will all click together, very fine margins and all that.

Not sure why we would need to ask any questions that we don’t already know the answer to by not beating the likes of Coventry, Hull and Millwall. They are the top 5 and you have to take your chances against them away from home. Vipotnik is the top scorer in the league so hard to be too critical. We have no right to expect to beat the top 5 away from home.

Watford, 4 games without a win, well you know what's coming next Saturday then don't you? Got a habit of obliging teams that are in a iffy run of form.

Aye, played Hull off the park for most of that.

Yea bottom feeders do occasionally target organisms higher up the food chain and make a good fist of it. But ultimately they move back onto the easy pickings at the bottom of the pond. We are experts at that though.

I'm sick and tired of our club being patted on the head and told that we were really good and one of the best teams to come here.
Every time after being beaten on the road yet again.

Take it as the compliment I’m sure it was meant as.

We haven’t had those comments for years. Soon enough when we are beating those teams it’ll no doubt be because their team had an off day and not because of us. We’ve been there before as well.

Yes he missed a couple of chances he’d normally put away in his sleep. But as he’s the top scorer in the league and has been fantastic this season I think he deserves a little bit of slack. Compared with how reckless and idiotic Cabangos handball was I find it difficult to give Vipotnik a hard time.
I'm not giving Vip a hard time just pointing out that they both had a mare, I'd cut both a bit of slack

Out of our last 10 games of the season 6 are away and 4 at home. 3 of our home games are against Coventry, Middlesbrough and Southampton. Our away form is dreadful, 1 win in the last 10 away games, 5 defeats out of 6 under Matos. We really do need to sort our away form out, it just puts added pressure on us at home to win.

Well he is officially a Right back and struggles to defend so the theory couldn't be any worse than the reality.
He lacks positional sense, his pace is average and he can’t beat a man, putting him further up the pitch isn’t going to solve the problem.

He either needs to be coached in to being a better full back or moved out of the club.

The result was disappointing the performance good .
Deserved a draw , despite Cabango error
Vp misses a sitter the second chance is more difficult .
We fail to close down Slater who scores a beauty .
The football we played was excellent we dominated possession but didn't dominate the game .
Hull had 30% possession had more shots on target Vigouroux again made too many saves .
I'm sure with improved performances wins will come .
