We're onto season 2 of Fallout now, and after a dodgy start, it's got a lot better. We're enjoying it. Reminds me of a cross between the Wizard of Oz, His Dark Materials and 28 Days Later.

Safe Harbor - ITV X - 8 episodes

Dark, drama with a fair amount of subtitles for Dutch dialogue.

The Housemaid. Available to rent on your streaming service of choice or for zip if you’re one of those scallywags with iptv. I’d never do that of course. Anyway, an excellent if slightly implausible film. Girl power. And god knows we need more of that.

Binge watched Lord of the Flies to the end over the weekend to the ending .

Purists will call it a classic yarn never to be overlooked in modern Literature and School timetables for English book reading clubs .

The jury was out , but the verdict was I will not watch it again , very strange storytelling .

Hated the book when I forced to read it in Penlan. Wild horses wouldn't make me watch that.

On that point, happy Year of The Horse everyone.

I was looking forward to this and was mildly disappointed with it

Tony Blair Story on C4 (all 3 episodes are on demand)

Nothing groundbreaking by any means but a great documentary of the time

Grammar School for me mun , not a Comp .

Closest I got Penlan School was playing at a windswept Mynydd Newydd game long ago in the day , but then back in the dressing rooms my Ben Sherman shirt had gone walkies .

Heads up to Penlan Social Club too , went to a after funeral in Morriston Crem recently .

What a welcome and what a spread laid on by the staff and caterers all involved .
Well done to them all .
