I think we either play 2 in the middle with a ten or play three across the middle. In which case you are not running one of Yalcouye or Widell. Same problem, four midfielders and only three spots
And that’s not counting Walta
65 appearances as an 8, 51 as a 6, 46 as a 10 and 58 as a RB.Midfield covers 3 positions, 6/8/10.
Of the 4 positions he regularly plays, RB is the highest, give or take a handful either way.
I think implementing this particular style of play midseason is a very tough ask. I remember Liverpool when they did it under Klopp had some very shaky results and performances when he came in at a not too dissimilar time to Matos this season. It took them time to get it right as it will with us. It will work long term but we’re going to need a full preseason for proper fitness and conditioning along with the right profiles which we lack at the moment. So what are the consequences long-term if that is the case? i.e. the fundamentals of the coaches style of play doesn't work over a prolonged period of time? I'm not saying that is the case, but the logical conclusion of that point of discussion isn't' good, is it?
He might do, if he wears him down enough. He seems quite persistentHe’s not going to shag you mate.

You keep saying he's a RB rather than a midfielder, that's not true

You literally said he's "an actual RB" and "he's played there more than any position in his career".I don’t, I say he’s both. In 6 games time he will have a played RB more than any single position in his career.
This myth that he’s being shoehorned is just wrong. His teams have seen a notable upturn in results when he plays RB vs any of the CM
positions.
Please not another Rb thread about Galbraith. He doesn’t enjoy playing there he’s said so himself it’s obviously not somewhere he’s going to thrive he wants to be in midfield
This is the beauty of football. Everyone has opinions. Personally I’d say he’s a very average right back at Championship level.Damn.
Good right back though.
