• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Our spend was peanuts considering the state of the squad in pre season.

2025/26 - 45 points (-3 GD)
2024/25 - 41 points (-9 GD)
2023/24 - 42 points (-11 GD)
2022/23 - 43 points (-5 GD)
2021-22 - 45 points (-12 GD)
Number of points is pretty irrelevant at the end of the season though - it’s the position you finish that counts.

We’ve finished 15th, 10th, 14th and 11th in the last 4 seasons and are currently (again means nothing until 46 games) below all of those.

I’m very much in the positive camp in terms of Matos’ impact and the possibilities for next season if we recruit well in the summer but it’s a big stretch to make out that this season is any better (on the whole) than the last 4.

Wonder if this will be a chance to see how much of a set piece specialist Walta is meant to be

It’s the position you finish that counts towards finishing positions but points will tell you how you have played in comparison to other years.

If you finish 10th on 60 points on year and another you finish 11th on 65 points. You have done better in the year you get 65 points regardless of position.

We’ve been decent/competitive and created chances away against Coventry, Stoke, Hull, Millwall (for a half) and won vs Watford. It’s only the last two performances away from home where we just haven’t shown up as a team. We did nothing against Derby and looks similar today. Last two home performances haven’t been great either. For me it’s fatigue, some players have been rinsed, we are missing good depth in key areas.
Our squad depth apparently is better than we have had for several seasons, and still we continually get turned over away from home. You can point to performances, and i accept some were decent, but if those performances result in nothing then obviously we are not good enough. Only a few weeks ago fans were saying our improved away performances would eventually return points, well that's not happening is it. Thank goodness for our home form, because that really has saved us this season.
