Josh Key

Not helped by the crowd being on his back but that’s part of being a professional footballer I guess.

In fairness, there seems to be a vibe from the crowd lately that suggests people want him to do well rather than pile onto him. I think I first noticed it in the game he got that cut on his foot. I wanna say West Brom?

He got a good reception today and the reaction to his goal line clearance was huge.

I missed the game live, watched the extended highlights.

Seemed a huge step forward for Key, his goal line clearance was as good as a goal, he attacked well and seemed like he defended well. As Winston said Sorba being sent off was their most dangerous outlet gone.

Hopefully he can kick on and we can continue to utilize Galbraith and Stamenic together in the midfield where they were supposed to be

Didn't catch the game yesterday and I have been Key's biggest critic, but it's good to hear he had a good performance.

It seems like Matos really can coach and is improving players and long may it continue.

Can he work on Ronald now !!

Looked back to his best yesterday which was refreshing.

I think you're spot on about Matos

That’s true. I think the fact that he was pretty much the only signing under Duff that started well means that he still has a lot of goodwill from the fan base.

Let’s hope he gets back to those 1st season levels for the remainder of the season. I’d still have a full back pretty high up the list of priorities for the summer (maybe that’s Lissah though - I’ve not seen enough to form an opinion there yet).

Welcome back! What a performance from him today.

Defensively solid and was a nuisance going forward all game.

That block on the line was unreal and he nearly scored a screamer too.

I couldn’t be happier for him - one of the nicest players you could ever meet.

On that note - he gave me his shirt signed by the squad for my son because Key is his favourite player.

Where’s the best place to get it framed? I’m sure I’ve read on here before about people going somewhere to get them framed.
Frames and Sculpts in Neath are really good - https://framesandsculpts.com/. The club have used him in the past

I would have Ward and Key on our right side.

Keep Galbraith in the midfield and send Ronald somewhere to learn football basics.
Not bad shout with Key and Ward. Though based on how Matos seems to react to Ronald when he comes off, think he will keep his spot as the amount of defending he does.

We need a winger to deliver in the final third. Picking him for his defensive energy without any tangible contributions up top seems a bit backward thinking to me. Very little creativity from him and Eom leaving us with Vip to be our only viable goal threat is risky business.

Matos needs to unlock the puzzle of why none of our wide players along with Galbraith Franco Widell Yalcouye Stemenic Fulton and Cabango & Burgess from set peices don't score anywhere near enough goals between them

Tymon creates more from LB and Key chips in with decent crosses but especially our wingers need to improve their end product.

Our wingers have been a major disappointment this season so far.

Keeping it on track with the title thread, I can see how people would like to see Key given a go down the right wing.
