There does seem to be a reluctance to play Walta from Matos. You would think that when we went 3-1 down, it would have been the ideal time to bring him on?
If you had to force me to be critical of Matos it's that he hasn't given certain players like Parker and Walta enough chances. Now the same could be said for Yalkouye, but after today and his lack of strength, I kinda can see why he is not in favour. I do think Matos is slightly handcuffed with a poor defense and RB.

Another lucky fluke result. Didn't deserve it at all and we pushed a player to make it 3-3 so it shouldn't have counted, but we've turned a corner

Thought we were quite poor in the first half but responded well to going 2 goals down in the second. Really good to see some end product from Idah and Eom. Would like to see Walta given some minutes in the next few. Perhaps he was rested with an eye on the Boro game. Overall we aren’t terrible but the defence isn’t quite right, too easy to play through and some basic errors mean we likely won’t make progress until we address that area.

Not against that, but important to get the balance correct in midfield.

Assuming 3-5-2 isn’t really an option this season, then I’d weigh up Galbraith & Stamenic playing as two 6s (Fulton as cover) and then Franco and Widell playing ahead of them and shifting wider into a narrow 4-4-2 without the ball.

Options of Eom, Nunez, Cullen, Yalcouye & Ronald from the bench for the last 20-30 mins depending on the game situation.

Worth a try at some point over the last 6 games?

.

The balance in midfield will be set when:
- Gally plays the Leon DCM role - to confidently demand possession from our CBs, orchestrate from deep and play the progressive (attacking) and regressive (defending) triangles up 'n down the pitch
- Stam plays the box-box machine
- Walt/Eom/Yalc in AM to craft, link with quick mind/feet/eyes
- SuperJay can cover all 3 spaces, most esp AM - his natural-born position

We absolutely don't need two 6s, it cannot be the SwanseaVitoWay.....

I can understand why Parker hasn't been given a chance, he needs a loan similar to Lissah.

Matos is not dull, he will know the issues and this might be the scenario with Walta? Be that his levels or fitness but I find it strange given how the game was going that Walta wasn't brought on.

our away fans (the singing has yet again been immense) put many of our online armchairs to shame - in so many many ways

time for the following to go to some away matches to test their mettle:

- Pego
- cma
- swanseaboy/girl
- copa
- blackpool
-........
- Floatabout

and many many more, besides.......

(edited....on an ongoing basis......)
I've been to away matches this season - from Spain.
How many have you been to, lovely boy? Probably too busy, with your part time job writing speeches for Kim Jong Un ( "our world class leader, glorious uplands, yadda, yadda").
I don't want to take the p*ss out of you too much, because I genuinely think there's something wrong with you between the ears. Go and have a lie down, mam will be calling you down from your bedroom for tea soon.

Not sure about a fluke result? Almost double XG, more shots on target, more of the ball.

The eye test told me that it was pretty even throughout, with both teams having 10-15 minute periods when they were on top.

It’s a strange one but he’s had no pre season at all has he, came to us after not playing in 3 months. He apparently looked excellent on international duty last week in both matches though. My feeling is he was one done for the summer but you have to imagine he will feature a bit between now and end of season.
