• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out. As an occasional poster here in recent years, I dropped out a short while ago because of the increasing poisonous nature of some posters. But I've popped back in now just to say a huge thank you to Phil, and his team, for an incredible job over the last 25 years.

Stupid Question. Does this mean this forum will close then too? Would be gutted if it did, as a newcomer.

Phil - Thank you for the unseen commitment that has gone into running the site which I am truly grateful for.

This site is part of my life and it feels like losing a lifelong friend forever.

The posters on here give me something to look forward to every day, wherever in the world I am. I have made many good in person friendships with people too, predominantly meeting up for away matches.

Unlike general society, everyone on here has been respectful to me with one exception who I have blocked.

I think back to Paul aka Lord Bony and other posters who were taken too soon, too early, and may they forever live on in our hearts and minds.

Really?
Show us a poisonous post.

Sad, but not entirely surprising news. I assume the final payment's been made on the helicopter so no need to keep the money-making machine around any longer.

Let's hope someone else steps in to take it over before the end of May - if you're even open to that idea. Please don't make me have to post on Indy..

Sad times, thank you Phil for your work.

I hope that the majority of us will find a place to migrate to - not a fan of the Fansnetwork layout.
