• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

As an occasional poster here in recent years, I dropped out a short while ago because of the increasing poisonous nature of some posters. But I've popped back in now just to say a huge thank you to Phil, and his team, for an incredible job over the last 25 years.

Stupid Question. Does this mean this forum will close then too? Would be gutted if it did, as a newcomer.

Phil - Thank you for the unseen commitment that has gone into running the site which I am truly grateful for.

This site is part of my life and it feels like losing a lifelong friend forever.

The posters on here give me something to look forward to every day, wherever in the world I am. I have made many good in person friendships with people too, predominantly meeting up for away matches.

Unlike general society, everyone on here has been respectful to me with one exception who I have blocked.

I think back to Paul aka Lord Bony and other posters who were taken too soon, too early, and may they forever live on in our hearts and minds.

Really?
Show us a poisonous post.

Sad, but not entirely surprising news. I assume the final payment's been made on the helicopter so no need to keep the money-making machine around any longer.

Let's hope someone else steps in to take it over before the end of May - if you're even open to that idea. Please don't make me have to post elsewhere…

Sad times, thank you Phil for your work.

I hope that the majority of us will find a place to migrate to - not a fan of the Fansnetwork layout.
