Thank you JH for all your work over the seasons.....also again to Phil for his efforts in running the site....and to all posters Ive enjoyed the banter and debates

Well what can I say. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to produce these Match Day Threads over the last 17 or so years. I recall it would be a race on the day of a match for who would start the Match Day Thread. It was left down to individual posters and it would be very, very basic. I remember getting home from the pub on a Friday night and waiting for the clock to strike 12 so I could be the first to publish the Match Day Thread. Overtime it sort of became left to me, most posters weren't that bothered about it and I enjoyed it.

The Match Day Threads developed through the seasons and when we were at the previous site I would make a complex Match Day Thread but every new page on the Thread would be a repeat of the whole Match Day Thread, so on the actual match day I would delete the majority of the information and put up the Team sheets. When we moved here it enabled me to become more adventurous with them. I was also able to manage them completely by myself. Which has been great. During Covid19 I got fed up because the matches without fans just seemed pointless for my MDT and I retired for a while, but after Covid I was well rested and I came back.

I have enjoyed producing them and they take a lot of time to publish. I am quite the stickler for things being well produced. There are various things that made them more difficult to publish like me having to publish each slide from the last one to the first one. This made things complicated. If you didn’t to this the slides would appear in different places and I would be pulling my hair out. Anyway Thanks everyone for showing your appreciation for them. Perhaps I will return somewhere else. Like I said earlier there is nothing in the pipeline at the moment. Thanks to Phil for letting me publish these Match Day Threads on his site. I’m looking forward to watching the World Cup. ATB Tim (Jackharris)

Fabulous matchday threads from Jack Harris & gutted that the best Swans forum is closing down.
Matchdays next season just won't be the same.

I have noticed since Matos arrived that Jay quite often comes over and discusses tactics etc with Matos when there is a break in play then goes back and starts passing on instructions. He is not only playing some of the best football he has ever played here but also acting as a player/coach on the field.

He will never get to the legend status that some lesser players have achieved but i think history will show that Fulton has been nothing but a positive infleuence on this team.
He was clear MOTM.. I want to know why he's stopped scoring headers from corners.. it was his only bright spot in a tedious Martin team.. he was a regular scorer from a corner or free kick

Thank you so much for your effort mate. It’s been mentioned in another thread about a few people grouping together to get a new site online. Hopefully it’s not over just yet 🤞

I’d like to add my thanks to you, as other have done.

For me, the Match Day threads have been one of the most enjoyable parts of this forum. It’s allowed many posters to give their own point of view of games (often contradictory) whilst the action is going on. They have been great fun and the amount of posts for each of these threads compared to other sites, speaks volumes of their popularity.
Nice one JH, your time has been very much appreciated for literally years. 👏👏🫡

Thanks for your kind words CygnusX1, they are really appreciated. 😃👍🏼

Cullen has chipped in a few goals but his overall performances have been under par especially when he starts and given the lone striker role. He isn't an effective wide player either and there are better players than him who should be ahead in selection. I thought yesterday he was just coasting with little movement and desire and was happy just to give 3 yard passes in non threatening areas. Saying all that, coming on as sub against poor sides when the game is open and stretched he adds some value. He was bullied a fair bit yesterday and lost a lot of possession.

Haven’t read this thread yet but Fulton changed the tempo of the game when he came on, looking to get the ball forward much quicker. Da iawn butt.

Was coming on to say this. Stamenic's ceiling might be higher, but there's a snap about Fulton that just adds something more and makes me not all that concerned if the rumours of interest in Stamenic are true.

Also good to see that he was the first one over to give Woodward some words of encouragement when he came on. You can see why he's held in such high regard within the club. Widell can't say enough good things about him.
