Agreed. He's played at centre-back in his time right? Perhaps he's seen the same way Santos was last summer, cheap cover on the bench.Interesting to hear they are in talks with Ward.
I'm up for keeping him around for his experience, not as a blocker for our younger players like Parker and Lissah, though.
He seems to have a decent character as well and having someone like in and around the changing room can only be a positiveAgreed. He's played at centre-back in his time right? Perhaps he's seen the same way Santos was last summer, cheap cover on the bench.
Walta hasn't officially signed as yet and I think Govea has had his contract extended to DecemberBizarre that Govea and Walta have no mention at all on any of the lists? Admin error?
Walta is on loan, Govea contract to December. The club tweet / article includes lists of players under contract, released, loans returning to their clubs, players in negotiations etc.
But as I say, Govea and Walta are missing entirely
Hopefully it sinks in this time.Walta is on loan, Govea contract to December.
It literally says “The club has extended Aimar Govea's contract until December 2026”. In the club article.Hopefully it sinks in this time.
You're taking for granted his ability to read.It literally says “The club has extended Aimar Govea's contract until December 2026”. In the club article.
The Walta thing is more complicated than the other loanees, as there was an agreement of sort to buy him. Can’t remember the exact wording.
We can't retain a player who isn't out of contract with his current club at the moment, the deal was a loan, with a commitment to buy, when his current contract expires. So, as always, your spot on Smurph. You're taking for granted his ability to read.
I'm guessing Walta can't be retained because we haven't actually signed him until the window opens again.
