A few quick possibilities without research, etc.: Bruno Lage - was an assistant here under Carvalhal; would honestly depend on how he liked the area Raphael Wicky - if I remember correctly, WBA were about to appoint him near the window last season but couldn't convince his staff to come to the...

You're not wrong, but after Ipswich on Saturday we have 2 weeks with the break. As you say, the club has likely at least started making enquiries already.

Absolutely right. I doubt it will happen, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't. I was all for giving Sheehan a chance with the job on a permanent basis. I was also all for giving him time to bed in with the squad. We just haven't made the improvements that we should have and he often seems...

I completely agree, but the new owners have clear ambition. The squad surely has talent. We need to be able to unlock that talent. And, if we are to make a change, it might as well be now. No need to wait to rip off the bandage. The new manager would have time to get in, assess the squad, and...

A couple of weeks ago (maybe it was after the QPR match) I was willing to give AS until after the Wrexham match next month. All I needed to see was some reasonable improvement out of the squad. We haven't gotten that. I will confidently say now that, for me, if we don't win against Ipswich we...

How can Widell not be starting every match? Same for Innoussa? Does Sheehan have something against Swedes?

I think we'll likely defend something similar to the above shape (likely with widell and Inoussa flipped), but will likely attack in more of a 4-3-3 with either Tymon or Inoussa (depending on the state of play) functioning as the "LW" and Widell as the "RW." Just a guess.

Yeah, hard to tell from my tiny screen. In either case you have to keep a calm head and just move it along.

Hard to tell from my screen, but it seemed the lad that went to ground was putting on a bit of an act.

From Modric to Mid Table: Is Sheehan Out of His Depth?

I would assess after Wrexham, just before Christmas and the window. That’s 12 more league matches plus Man City. If we haven’t improved and there’s someone available who’s a better fit, perhaps then would be the time.

From Modric to Mid Table: Is Sheehan Out of His Depth?

That’s completely fair. I will say that having 36% of your starters and 56% of your bench being new isn’t nothing, though perhaps my saying “completely overturned” isn’t quite literally accurate. I just think that, between Sheehan being a first time permanent manager and a sizable number of...
