• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Steve Cooper sacked

He achieved multiple midtable finishes and one inside the top ten. Cooper kept Forest up once but couldn’t do any more than that. Potter finished 9th in his last full season and left for Chelsea while they were in fourth. He progressed them as a side at the highest level, something that Cooper...

    Steve Cooper sacked

Potter has had more success in the PL than Cooper and is partly responsible for where they are now. He managed multiple midtable finishes while Cooper struggled with Forest and Leicester. If Potter comes back to club football he’ll have success again. He chose two basket cases in Chelsea and...

    Steve Cooper sacked

Potter is the best manager we’ve had since relegation for me but Cooper 100% deserves credit for getting us within touching distance of the PL. Having said that, considering some of the talent we ended up having under Cooper, the football was less than enjoyable.

    Bournemouth v City

City will be interesting to watch next season. Maresca is inheriting a talented side but they aren’t all title winners. I’m not sure we’ll see the same dominance from them. On paper Arsenal look well placed to defend the title with a lot of top 6 sides having new managers.

    Jairo Riedewald

That’s a point about Galbraith too, if he’s still here then we’ll have 3 different options for that holding midfield spot. Can’t see us being in for Riedewald unless it’s for CB. Feel like Matos will stick with the same 433 but we’ll hopefully have improvements in the wide areas to make it a...

    Arsenal.

This current Arsenal team is confusing. They’ve played some of the best attacking football in the league for the past 3 seasons and in the one where they might actually do it, it’s all down to the defence. Not a forgone conclusion but I think they win it. Probably 0-1 against Palace.

    Jairo Riedewald

Really like him, remember him playing for Palace a few years ago. I’m sure we tried to sign him in the summer we got relegated. Only issue is that he’s a defensive mid and we have Stamenic and Fulton. Can also play CB, could see him fitting in well there.

Profit and Sustainability - is dead and replaced

These rules basically guarantee that Wrexham and probably Birmingham will be in the Premier League in the next few years. I get that they’re trying to stop clubs from going bust but the consequence of that is giving high revenue earners an even bigger advantage. It doesn’t seem good for the...

Profit and Sustainability - is dead and replaced

When you think about it, we never had huge front of shirt sponsors in the PL so it could have just been Gorringe telling the truth but making it sound more than it was. Will be interesting to see what happens in the coming months.

Wot, no FA Cuppp final thread?

Didn’t think City were much good but liked what Chelsea were trying to do. Lovely goal from Semenyo though. Not a high quality game but entertaining enough. The play off final will be good if it ever happens.

Profit and Sustainability - is dead and replaced

Don’t know what to make of the new rules other than the fact they are designed to benefit clubs with bigger revenue streams. I suppose you could say those clubs would always have been able to spend more but look at Wrexham, they have half our stadium capacity but can spend a hell of a lot more...

    Drama at West Ham.

That happens in football though imo. How many times have we seen it with our players? Decisions that don’t get given to us just to get given to the opposition team 5 minutes later. It’ll probably get framed as the officials being biased towards the big team but it happens to everyone.

    Drama at West Ham.

Easily a foul on Raya for me. Arm and shirt being grabbed. I get the argument about West Ham players also being fouled but the reality is that you’ll never be allowed to interact with a goalkeeper in the same way as other players.

    Steve Brown DoF?

By the looks of it he has made a lot of money from player sales at his previous club. Don’t know how likely this one is if he’s turned down another Championship club though.

    Ronald

To be fair I was more talking about our wingers and Joseph has been playing on the wing for quite a lot of this season I think, not a bad goal tally considering that.
