Don’t get carried away. Sheehan is giving us a bit of bounce, he has some significant limitations. And we haven’t actually traded LOB, we’ve borrowed him.Sheehan for Williams
LOB for Grimes....
Nice fix !

It's interesting question. I have been saying we need a new manager. But Sheehan knows the club, the players and have been amongst 2 departing managers. Now I'm not advocating that this is the reason he should have the job. But.... I know we are riding high on recent results but I don't want another Williams coming in. Always a risk either way. I think when we inevitably will lose against Leeds etc, the tactics and how the players respond will tell us alot about Sheehan. I would give him now till end of season pretty much a trial. Weirdly this feels different to a Monk hiring or someone like that. Sheehan has actively been amongst it and has his badges. Food for thought. What are Sheehan's 'significant limitations', out of interest?
His inexperience. We don’t need a novice at the helm. What are Sheehan's 'significant limitations', out of interest?
We've had plenty of novices at the helm - and exceeded all expectations. His inexperience. We don’t need a novice at the helm.
Franco at times unplayable and unbelievable in equal measure today. Superb team performanceLoB and Franco must be murder to play against. Always snapping at your heels. They're showing MG up like Downes did.
I'd like to see the numbers for the amount of second balls that we're winning compared to previously with the more static, passive midfield that we had before.
Roberto Martinez has entered the chat. His inexperience. We don’t need a novice at the helm.
Without causing a debate. I would take Sheehan experience or their lack of over anything that Williams or any prospect manager. Look if we bring in experience or someone who comes with weight then no problem with that, but Sheehan knows these players and watched 2 managers come and go and been amongst it. I feel on personal level this is why we are seeing results now. Not just a bounce but someone who has had to watch on and see faults and seen weakness and strength in the players. It's a difficult decision to make with what happens next. I would give him to end of season at least. His inexperience. We don’t need a novice at the helm.
Martinez is from a different time and when we were in a very different place.Roberto Martinez has entered the chat.
IF you can manage it doesnt matter how much experience you have had. Plus I would argue about him being a novice. Factor in his PPG when in charge and Id say I completly disagree with your view on this.
Bit like try before you buy, and why not, if it goes completely tits up after today, then maybe he isnt the man. Like I've already said, why wouldn't you give him the gig if it's going well, like you've indicated we've tried more established and they've turned to dust. There is of course a caveat, and that is what are the clubs aspirations going forward. It's all a gamble. It's interesting question. I have been saying we need a new manager.
