That was my question though, where have the rumours originated from/what are they based on?

It seems like someone has just said "I've heard a rumour that there may be new owners coming" and that has been repeated so the only rumour is that there's a rumour of new owners.

You say Morris wants to be involved more, where has that come from? Likewise, the "other rumblings" you mention. Is this all just hearsay from fans who are trying to will it into existence?

Unless someone is directly involved then it's going to hearing it off someone else, it could be first hand or somewhere down the line.
Could be Chinese whispers or could be a case of no smoke and all that.

Which is why I'm doubting how much truth is in the rumours, seems to me to just be people repeating what they've heard others saying

I heard something a while ago and got ridiculed for it and have since heard a little more......however if it is true or has any substance then I don't have the slightest as I heard it off someone else.
There does appear to be something in the offering but if it's to the level us fans want is the million dollar question.
It's clear Levien has little time for us and is just letting others(Coleman) do the day to day things but ultimately has the last say in anything of substance.

Best he just moves on and hands it to someone who wants to get involved and has more drive.

As been said by many on here, we are only going one way regardless of the counter that they putting this and that in........they could put a billion in and yet would still waste it on bad appointments and wasteful transfer exploits.

Levien and new investors have been talking for weeks.. I've seen the WhatsApp messages.. whether Levien wants to up sticks is another matter, because everyone who has business with him, say the same thing, he's hard work

It's a worry that there are rumours that he is hard work! He proved his worth for me with the Ogbene dealings when he put a stop to it on the basis he would be free in a few months.

The worst part of relegation is it reduces the value of the club even more and they lose more money. Hedge funds dont invest to lose so it would be worrying to see what they do

The problem with these people is exactly what you say - they dont plan, they react and they have ZERO attention to detail. I saw that first hand and its scary how people with so much money can just pay so little attention

It could force their hand to sell, as the penny may finally drop that they are not capable of leading us well enough to see any sort of return on their investment. That would be the hope anyway.

But you’re right that they’d have no plan and relegation would be a disaster if we were to be stuck with them in L1.

It's a good question. On balance I reckon it's better to remain in the Championship. The risks and uncertainties of relegation outweigh the current status quo. Even though that is clearly unsatisfactory.

If they sell, it's better to sell a club that's in the Championship.

And who knows, maybe we get a lucky break in actually getting a good striker...it's about time we bucked the poor trend of late !

So we just suck up the turgid play, support the players on the pitch as best we can...and hope for the best. But in the Championship.

Piroe was above our level and we now have a Slovenian international . I wouldn’t blame the strikers rather the manager whose tactics are to play so slowly the oppo will die of boredom . The handbrake in midfield isn’t helping either although 8 out of ten on here swear he’s the best in the championship(so good apparently no one else wants him).

Don't know about rumour, but I've seen WhatsApp messages saying investors are in direct talks with Levien.. whether they were successful talks I don't know.. it's almost like people ignore me.. I said this last month, I said stuff years ago, and only now you're all up in arms about everything.. I'm just sitting here shaking my head
