Summer Transfer Window

Classic swans fans now saying are signings are a disaster after three very promising ones. Back up centre half on a feee ffs, plenty of experience and younger than the two he's replaced. Really don't see what the problem is
I fall in that category although I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a disaster signing.
I'm happy with him replacing Naughton, Christie and Pedersen. The 3 mentioned were at best 4th choice for the centre half spot and hopefully that's the place he takes coming into the squad.....4th choice.

Football is a funny thing and his expectations are going to be low, he could suprise us as the season motors along and show his worth and gain the spot alongside Cabango.

I would just like to see a bit of insurance and options with a centre half coming in for the first team, Santos and a younger player similar to the Diouf chap coming in as a 3rd choice.

Looking at this Hungarian centre half linked, he looks a promising signing.

Does have a senior cap for Hungary and is of Slovenian birth, so some support to big Vipi
He's a centre back. Stats are mediocre, especially defensive ones. I would be surprised if we're interested in him. He could have qualities (e.g. pace) that don't appear in published stats so that has to be factored in.

Can't disagree with any of that. Beaten 4 champ clubs suppposedly so can't be that bad. 6ft 5 as well so useful to have on the bench if we're getting pumped with balls into the box late on protecting a lead

There's a highlights reel from his time in the Hungarian U21s that gives a reasonably positive impression. Good long ball diagonal distribution. Also seems to have played as a right back at times. So perhaps he's seen as an utility player.

From what I’ve seen, his stats aren’t as good as Darlings, although video footage looks decent albeit that will always be the case with highlights and it is at a lower standard. We should probably be looking at a CB who can grow into what Darling was, Mocsi is the same age and just doesn’t look on the same level. Always different when you actually see them playing though.

That's a fair assessment. If we're interested then I trust our recruitment team enough to think he must have good qualities, but it would be more reassuring if his stats were good, rather than mediocre.

HD the past, we're not going to win any pay competition and he has refused offers for 12 months now
Sooner the better we give up on him and sign someone who will be committed to the club, whether Lowe Widdell Mocsi or the Swiss guy, they all look promising
Important whoever it is gets a full pre season

No. The end of their financial year is June 30th. So it wont affect their next results release covering July 1st 2024 to June 30th 2025 out at the end of the year
If they sell him this month it will be in this year’s accounts.

Anyway, they also sold about £30m of players last July / August which weren’t in last years accounts but will be in this. No idea what the profit on those will have been but I’d imagine reasonably high. They bought players but as discussed before the costs of that are spread over contract length. So their figures are probably not as bad as you think.

As an aside, clubs like Norwich or us who are privately owned (limited companies rather than PLCs) have 9 months to file accounts. So it will be end of next March they are published not the end of this year.

About two minutes into that the word "Cabango" popped into my head. He plays a lot like him for me.

Maybe not the quickest, perhaps not the most technically capable, but a big, strong physical presence who is usually in the right place at the right time.
