Summer Transfer Window

Bianchini had the right instincts. Made a lot of intelligent runs but the pass never came. I think in a team that moves the ball a hell of a lot quicker than we mostly did last season he'd be able to contribute a lot more.

Don't know if Sheehan is all that fussed though. He didn't get much of a look in from him as the season progressed.
Well, we all saw the benefits of putting players in positions that suit them and asking them to do stuff they have the skillset and instincts for so maybe Sheez is still trying to see if and where Bianchini fits before deciding what to do with him but I agree that Williams never looked like getting the best of him.

Belfast Telegraph reporting the bid was £1.5 million. Surprising Charlton can afford that. That must be close to our limit.

Despite our interest in January - we've apparently not gone back in for him, contrary to rumoured interest. Must be looking at other targets.

I'd be surprised if we're not still interested, given his quality. He certainly fits the player trading model.
We would certainly have an eye on him, but if his side are turning down 1.5m for a player in the last year of his contract then the club would justifiably be moving on to alternative options

It boils down to the size of our budget and how good he is. If he's considered good enough to start games ahead of Key and has potential to earn big bucks down the line we might be willing to get close to £2 million. I can't see us spending more on a League One player.

If he's leaving because Norwich (or whoever) are offering him more money than us, I get that.

If he's leaving despite an improved offer from us since the changes at the top and the personal intervention of Modric because he's still got the hump over how the previous regime treated him, then fuck him.

We will never know but from all the reports he didn't like the way the club didn't give him the red carpet treatment first time round. If this is the case, then so be it. No time for divas. It might be the case he wants to be closer to home, but putting aside events before new regime at Swansea, not much we can do. Seemed we did everything. People will tell me his stats, but Darlings passing at times was shocking. Always looking for the Ronald pass and rarely getting it right. I liked Darling but he wasn't all that.
