S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Oxford United | Saturday 6th December 2025 | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

Yalcouye for me is key to us having energy. He doesn't have much physical presence but think we have missed him. Hoping he is at least on bench. Benson I care very little for. Shown nothing.
Has Benson really had an opportunity

He started against Forest I think? Remember him looking really promising for about an hour, and effectively booked the promotion parade by half-time. I'm not against giving him a start at the weekend, if he's completely off it (as his attitude suggests), send him back in Jan

Worth noting that tickets for this game have gone on Tickets for Good. If you work for NHS or a charity, it's a platform for free/reduced tickets; £3 a pop for Saturday and the same for Portsmouth midweek.
Thank you WentToSchoolWith for the information. I see it also includes Teachers. I didn’t know that. Really handy for tickets for the family.

My gf works in the NHS, so I check it almost daily for gig tickets. Can get some really good stuff on there, particularly in the Summer. The Wales Rugby matches have all been on there this year, as were some big events that failed to sell particularly well. Got my Mum tickets for Robbie in London for free, got a pal tickets to the NFL at Tottenham, and got myself some tickets to the (farcical) England vs South Africa T20 at Sophia Gardens.

Do need to be quite hot on it, and check at least once a day, as all of the big events sell out within an hour

Sounds awesome. I have family who are nurses so it will be great for them. Such a pain that the cricket was messed up with the weather. Funnily enough I went to an ODI at Cardiff between England and South Africa some years back and they bowled 3 balls and that was it. Thankfully we had the money back for that match.

I watched the one you went to on TV and it was such a damp squib. Salt getting out caught on the boundary after not many deliveries. And then they went to Old Trafford and scored over 300 in a T20. Thanks again for the information. Hopefully people will see the information and help swell the crowd a bit on Saturday and mid week. The more the merrier.

I said a few weeks ago that Burgess was a better defender than Darling but we do definitely miss Harry's ability to carry the ball out from the back and get involved in attacks. That's definitely impacting our ability to build attacks from the back.
Not even a better defender. There's not one single aspect of football he's better then Darling at. If you don't count shouting at other team mates when he makes countless errors a game of course.

To be fair my original post was a few weeks ago before the Ipswich game when we'd generally looked reasonable enough defensively - definitely starting to wonder if we have actually upgraded defensively at the moment!

I heard he spoke to the manager and he asked him where his preferred position was and he sung George Benson song Just Give Me The Right

Come on.
We were all creaming ourselves that we'd upgraded significantly on Darling in the summer.
He might be going through some rough form - who isn't but he's a much better defender that Darling was. He doesn't fall over the ball looking for free kicks every 5 mins for a start.

I wouldn't say so. But in his cameo's so far, he's looked very uninterested. Hopefully a change in manager & ideas will start to see him flourish, as we all know he can bring quality to the team.
