Millar talks more sense that any of them, whether he does what he says is another thing, Iorwerth is another talking horse without substance he just constantly chats shit, him and Farage got those three things in common.

Can someone please explain to me how you can go from Labour to reform.

Ideologically I just can’t understand it. I’ve tried to understand it but no matter what I read or listen to I can’t make any sense of it.

There isn’t any logic to it.
Like the US, the poorest and the least educated are looking for something, anything to improve their lives and they’re not thinking about it, they’re voting for the far right who promise change in their lives.
All they can see is that the traditional parties of government have let them down and the mantra of immigrants taking away their jobs and their way of life strikes a chord. They’re not going to vote for those traditional parties any more. Reform are very good at playing on this.
Yes, Reform are a bunch of failed Tories and chancers but people aren’t thinking, they’re just looking for something different.
I despair.

The only thing I can chuck in the pot is that the more left of the left wing argued against the EEC and and European integration and so were very pro Brexshit. Corbyn was pro but didn't dare say so, but made no real attempt to fight against. An old school friend falls into that category so only a single view, but he also hates 'the establishment' and the maintenance of privilege and inherited concentrated wealth, and he has gone from standing as a labour councillor to 'joining up with Nigel' ffs. He just sees it as a vehicle for radical change.

Mind you, speaking of radical, or radicalised, he also loves Musk ("we need a Musk to chainsaw our public sector") and last we spoke, pre November, Trump and spends a lot of time on Twatter. Just to spear the stereotype, he is a conventionally clever person with a maths degree, MBA and 40 years of senior roles behind him.

I just don't get it. I can see value in radical change, and I detest some institutions too, and the way thus country panders to unearned wealth, but whereas I could get on board with, say, John McDonnell and Michael Foot, I just can't see how obvious grifters like Fartage and Trump and disgusting scum like Musk and the Techbros are anything but worse.
