• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Even if Ipswich lose at Southampton, they should beat QPR at home on last day of the season which will be enough to see them promoted.

Coventry have had so much firepower this season .
The 4 forward players have scored 50 goals between them .
Coventry have scored 93 goals so far with 1 game to play .

I don't think we can give Grimes much credit for their bucketful of goals, seeing as he has 2 goals and 3 assists in 45 games.

A Southampton win on Tuesday would set up a brilliant final day. 4 teams would all be within a point of each other for automatic promotion and 3 teams within a point of each other for the final playoff spot. Now we can't relegate Charlton, I imagine half the crowd would be focusing more on results elsewhere!
Assists don't tell the story,Grimes is like the tick of a good clock ,the metronome on the piano or the beating heart,he keeps things going in the team plan.

I think Frank Lampard knows a bit more about midfield play than some people on the internet.

No doubt, but anyone suggesting Grimes is the primary reason they're champions is defying the evidence of 300+ games we watched him play while here.

He's a fine player and unfairly maligned by some, but also weirdly over-hyped by others. He's played in Championship teams that have finished in the playoffs, mid-table, lower half and now champions, so he's clearly not a massive needle-mover in terms of a team's success.

Lampard regards him as an important piece of his jigsaw. I’ll take his word for it.

Their winner at Blackburn for promotion was scored by a CB.. do we remember those days 😉😆

Balance isn’t allowed when discussing Grimes. He either has to be Satan or the second coming! 🤣

The reality as you’ve said is that he’s a very good Championship player but his effectiveness will depend on the players around him.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on next year. Personally I think he’ll struggle with the increased athleticism and physicality of the PL over the last 5 years.

Pound for pound one of the best buys in the Championship, plays just about every game and has captained a side to promotion to the PL.
Never his greatest fan but could never argue with his commitment or dedication to the game, some of you really need to get a life.

Been watching a video of Coventry fans against us at the .com
Support for Matt Grimes throught the game was loud and relentless .
I didn't realise what they were singing until i saw the video .
Amazing best away fans this season .

It’s easy to be amazing fans when you’re about to be promoted to the Premier League.

Sheffield Weds take that accolade.

Compare the atmosphere they created to the Middlesbrough & Southampton fans different league .
