When he was first signed he was like 18 and one of those players perhaps too raw for consistent first team game time but too good for development squad.
He did get appearances under Cooper, not as many as he would like but I remember him scoring the winning goal against Derby under Cooper.
He wouldn't have been the first player after a manager left to get a lease of life under a new coach and he would certainly have been hoping for that under Martin. Martin by the time he left us had had a considerable track record of bombing players out of the squad that he didn't like or who refused to play to his mind numbing anti football instructions.
