I have spent a good hour today reading the threads about the closure of the site and I have to say I am overwhelmed by just what this site meant to everyone.

I never intended to run a website - I kind of stumbled into it ironically on a mailing list for Glamorgan where I was approached by Rivals to run their Glammy cricket site. When the chance to run the Swans site came up I jumped at it and the rest is definitely history.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to DM, Text, post or just reference their thanks on here and other platforms, your words are appreciated and I am touched that this place has meant so much to so many people.

I have little doubt that I will reappear at some stage on a forum / medium - once a Keyboard warrior, always a keyboard warrior I guess :ROFLMAO:

Phil you've posted already about the milestones that have been shared over the years here on Jackarmy.net

If you ever.need references just point them to this site and the warm words you've received.

Now as we go into the last hour, as with all major world events, when asked where were you.

Well I can say I was here when the lights were finally turned off.

Don't be a stranger, maybe post under some golfing themed name, maybe the 19thhole 😏

Without this site I wouldn’t have made numerous friends over the years in Llanwrtyd, GirlRacer, Mr Jaquest, Mr H Jones and of course GravynChipsJack who now lives round the corner from me in SE London. Wouldn’t have got involved - albeit for a brief period - with the Trust Board and had the pleasure of spending time in your company along with Huw and many other superb individuals who gave so much of themselves to the club.
I haven’t posted much on here in years - however barely a single day has gone by when I haven’t checked in to see the latest and it’s been a consistent connection to Swansea when so many others have fallen by the wayside.
All good things must come to an end. It’s a sad day but the friendships and memories will endure and I look forward to seeing you in the stands in the not too distant future.
Cheers Phil mate

So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it? I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance, what are we?
So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me
