• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

ā€œSetup to suit Grimesā€ is a spot on comment.

There is an always a danger of this when a player becomes too powerful.

And the moment we let Garry Monk become too powerful was the precise moment our decline started when he managed to convince those in power he was a better manager than Michael Laudrup

To be fair Monk has learned and that got him a place at Cambridge
:cautious:

Very surprised that he hasn't had the chop yet. Five wins from 29 games in the league.
I should just look at his managerial record, but is Monk still getting jobs based on his initial season and a half here? He hasn't had any success anywhere else has he?

A comparative analysis reveals fascinating differences in approach; one exhibits a steadfast, conservative style, while the other adopts a more dynamic strategy. The season's conclusion will be particularly insightful.

My professional assessment favors O'Brien's proactive approach as better suited to our needs, a position I confidently maintain.
Thank you ChatGPJaxs

As good a footballer as Grimes was, he was the perfect safety blanket for your possession junky type of manager ie. Martin and his clone Lukewarm.
Safe as houses, didn’t give possession away, kept things ticking along nicely.
I liken him to a trusty old Volvo estate.
Unspectacular, reliable, carried baggage but got you where you were going safely.
But hopefully we’re changing to electric.
It Propels you to your destination quicker, smoother, with less fuss, and doesn’t give out toxic emissions.
Hope not, or we’ll be stuck looking for a charger after 55 minutes.
