    SHEEHAN SACKED

I would love that certain someone to be our next manager, heard whispers a few weeks ago the possibility was being explored. I've no idea what our finances are so couldn't comment who's in reach and who's not.

    SHEEHAN SACKED

well he wasn't turning it around, was he - it was getting worse. So by giving him more time, you would see more of that. Hope that helps.

    SHEEHAN SACKED

You wanted more of what we saw on Saturday? Absolutely no signs whatsoever he was going to turn things around & I think they've been merciful and put him out of his misery tbh!

Stu James is usually spot on. Big news. Next appointment is vital to get right.

Wasn't he on about wanting to invest in Celtic too?

    Kim Hellberg

I've seen people on here say that he was in the running with Sheehan over the summer for the job. No clue if that's even remotely true or not

    We want Sheehan out

Saw a point made online that the timing could be a factor, if they decide to pull the trigger (I've seen no indication of that fwiw). Middlesbrough & Norwich are looking for a new manager. WBA are said to be considering alternatives to Ryan Mason already. Of the potential managers out there...

The difference a manager can make.

Compared to other strikers in his day, Bothroyd was average at best. He scored most of his goals in the championship. He shouldn't have been anywhere near that England squad - same for Rickie Lambert, Danny Ings & Jay Rodrigues.

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

Whatever the cost is to get rid of him, if the decide to was set by the club when they gave him his contract. They wouldn't have been stupid enough to price themselves out of getting rid of him.

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

Slightly rudimental way of looking at it, but that's swings and roundabouts really as we saved money by appointing him in the summer & not having to pay compo for another manager then. So the cost of getting rid isn't as high as it would have been as we didn't have to pay to get him in the...

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

I saw a tweet from Tom Coleman (yeah, I know) after the game last night. He said "top 6 ambitions are slipping away" or something to that effect. That's the first time I've seen anyone associated with the club publicly state that the top 6 was the aim.

    So We're Stuck With Sheehan?

I thought we were a bit better last night in actually trying to create chances. That being said, we still had to concede before we started playing. Still too many sideways & slow passes. Sheehan clearly panicked last 20 mins & just flung on anyone in the hope something would happen. You could...

    Vipi

Great news. At least 2 weeks of that will bethe international break. Hopefully Idah can step up & build on the performance against Charlton.

    Our attacking intent

My fault for not actually reading the entire article too, to understand the context. But the same point applies that going 1-0 up doesn't always win you games. Against Norwich we had to reply on two Vipi rockets from nothing to win us the game. Outside of that we created f'all.

Tom Gorringe - The Business of Sport

Different people thrive in different environments. It seems the set up and the owners are allowing Gorringe to do that. Imagine if we'd had these owners when the likes of Birch was here...

    Our attacking intent

Saw Galbraith in a BBC article say something along the lines of "we're better than our results & league position suggest" and "we just need to be more clinical in finishing off teams". Thought to myself that creating chances in the first place would be an idea.

    Sheffield Wednesday

Am I missing something - there was supposed to be a fan boycott of their last game against Middlesbrough. There was still 21,000 in the ground. By that logic, half of our fans are boycotting us! :ROFLMAO:

Can't wait for a severely out of form Norwich to turn up and see how we'll make them look like prime 1970 Brazil

    Sheehan On Borrowed Time?

I was looking forward to being excited to go to game again. I also wanted us to be competitive in games. Neither of those are happening at the moment.
