Not saying he played well tonight but when you’ve got a 3-4-3 playing against a 4-3-3 (or however you’d like to describe our formation) there’s inevitably going to space in wide areas for one team or the other at certain points, especially on the transition/counter attack.

I’m more than happy to be patient with him, Widell and Inoussa but we need at least 1 of them to have a big impact next season and ideally the other two play a part as well. As I mentioned earlier they need as many minutes as possible with the pressure off for the remainder of the season.

I think the idea was to try and get someone closer to Vipotnik and use Key as the width up against their wing back. Clearly it didn’t work though as Mantos saw by changing it 15 mins later.

It was those type of decisions that made me want technology to be brought in, but having seen how badly it’s been implemented I think I’d rather live with not getting those decisions knowing that by and large they even out over the course of a season at tier 2 or below.

Widell and Walta may well end up being as inconsistent as the likes of Ronald & Eom (appreciate they’re different positions) but I want us to find out over the next 8 games what they can do. Now that there’s nothing to play for we’ve got to use the rest of the season to work out exactly what...

Can’t miss two 1 on 1s early on in the game and expect to win games away from home. Refs been a shocker all round but we’ve got to be far more clinical when on top in games.

Somehow didn’t even win the Norwegian league last season. They’ve been excellent every time I’ve seen them this year with most of their wins coming in their off season!

Useful for away tickets with or without season ticket (I never really used it for anything else) but haven’t bothered with one for the last few years as rarely travelling away these days.

No doubt that replacing one or both of Vipotnik and Galbraith will be very important, but I’d like to think plans will be in place for the other positions irrespective of whether they leave:. Obviously if they are sold for significant fees we may be shopping in a different market.

I agree on Lissah, although I’ve not seen enough of him (seems to be getting very good reviews though). Assuming Santos is moved on we’re down to 4 senior defenders, plus Sam Parker who definitely needs a loan move! 100% on a footballing centre half being needed as well.

I think he’s played there every time he’s been on the pitch for them so far. Will be interesting to see how the formations match up. but if we dominate the midfield (with their injuries/suspensions) we’ve got a good chance to make it 3 wins on the bounce.

Was a regular thing for Sky (Fanzone) for 5-10 seasons in the early 2000s, albeit that was a supporter from each club as opposed to the owners from just one.

Three players who are capable of starting 30+ games - Centre Half, Fullback, Winger - then a case of replacing anyone we sell. The winger has to be a game changer with end product in terms of goals & assists if we want a proper run at the playoffs next season.

I think part of the problem over the last few years has been we’ve had no real alternative to replace Key/Tymon if they’ve had a dip in form or need resting. Hopefully Key will be back to the form of his first 18 months with us but I’d still have a full back who’s able to rotate/replace either...

Outstanding 1st half. Should have killed the game off with two clear cut chances straight after half time. Dug in well in the last half hour. Obviously would have liked to have managed that much better, but expecting a team with 2 away wins from 11 playing against a team scrapping for survival...

6 Clubs in the Play-Offs from Next Season 2026/27

I’m not too sure about the idea rugby was more entertaining. It was looser and less structured but there are almost double the number of tries scored now (on average per game) than there were in the 60s-80s. Try sitting through the full 5 nations games from that era and compare them to the 3...

Strange one, especially seeing as PL stadiums now show the VAR decisions (after the decision has been made).

    Josh Key

That’s true. I think the fact that he was pretty much the only signing under Duff that started well means that he still has a lot of goodwill from the fan base. Let’s hope he gets back to those 1st season levels for the remainder of the season. I’d still have a full back pretty high up the...
