    In Duff's case he had a preseason including a number friendlies to work with the players & get his game plan in place, Williams has had very little time to work with the players so far so I'd cut him some slack. Doesn't excuse the poor selection for last night though.

    They're on the best run of results for 30 years or so I think so they should be happy I'd have thought. Funnily enough he's playing a quicker style with players suited to that style, exactly the same as Cooper did with Forest. Hopefully Southampton's run will end on Saturday 👍

    Playing both of them baffles me as well, it clearly doesn't work. Patino was starting games regularly & playing well before the Sunderland sending off - for some reason Duff wouldn't start him after that which was a mistake

    It's been the choice of the managers this season to continue to pick Grimes & Fulton & having them playing the way they have. If they were going against specific instructions Duff would have dropped one of them whereas he kept picking them & left Patino out instead

    It isn't going to work for us because apart from a couple of our centre halfs we've got nobody who's any good in the air (Fulton isn't too bad but I don't think he should be playing anyway at the moment). If the opposition deal with Darling we're knackered.
