Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Bristol City vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

. This will be tough. Manning is the man we shoulda turned to post Martin - the way in which he fixed Martin’s MK mess was transformational. And that’s the tonic we desperately needed instead of Duff (as shown when Manning’s Oxford destroyed Duff). 2-1 Swans. Pato will be fired up - he has...

Luke's ways are starting to shine through - Swans have turned that corner

. 100% turned the corner from last season. Anyone who refutes that is clearly pining, bereft. We’ve turned a corner ++. However until we shed the calamitous legacy defensive ways of the past two terms, along with the legacy calamitous defenders we ain’t going nowhere soon. We’re only as good...

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Watford FC vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

. Luke will have some input but I’d say our best in class holistic recruitment model has already identified (and pursued, in some cases)our preferred targets for solidifying our spine - up top and CB. (The last thing we should be doing is have the tail wagging the dog - we saw how disastrously...

We need to get rid of this legacy defence. Our Achilles heel, and beyond There's no wonder our midfield sits so deep. But fair play to Matty for pushing and probing - clearly under instructions from Lukey, so refreshing

Yet the odd clown would rather Darling there instead. Darling, the lad with zero tekkers - so much so he couldn't get into schoolboy academies til he was mid-teens.

Balls-out football, playing on the front foot And we're top half, already.

Excellent assist from El Capitan Matty Passing the ball fwd - and long - unheard of the past two terms

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Watford FC vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

You heard it here first, folks. Some of the nonsense posted on SM re Pato being out is hilarious. Pity Joey (understandably) wasn't quite fresh enough. Key is prob for the best too. Proper bench to see us home. Exciting times, for proper upward looking fans......

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Watford FC vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

That's a top quartile team, when it clicks consistently (MK excepted, obvs). Until we land our target up top, I wouldn't be surprised to see a more fluid 433, with Ronny given licence to roam wide and central. Key and Sagoe down the right. Not yet alas as Sagoe excluded from tonight's squad.

Fair play to Ipswich. Heard a fact earlier from a friend (so, tbc): % chance of finishing in top 2 end of season: - Southampton 8% - Leeds 45% - IPSWICH 57% - Leicester 85% So Ipswich have a 7x better chance than Southampton. £ for £ off the scale achievement.

. You're right. Castigated by some of our most uninformed, out of touch so called fans. Bloke suffered from chronic sleep apnoea, but his self centred, self obsessed, immature manager hung him out to dry at the first opportunity. .

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Watford FC vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

. Hearing and learning plenty of reasons to be bullish. Williams going for the jugular again with a balls-out game plan, I'd say. Confidence is sky high to get up and at 'em, along with the belief and mindset to sustain our dominance with measured, controlled, calm maturity and leadership. As...

    The Swansea way...

. Excellent thread. And deserves a new chapter after todays’s Blackburn bashing and the wondrous Wearside watershed. This feels like the real deal - The Swansea Way ++ Shows what can be achieved when we play to our players strengths, encourage our classy midfield to dominate and control...

Poor post, true to form as per. The typical irrational post from someone like you - out of touch, uninformed, out on a limb, outcast. Chip on the shoulder defeatist Cheapskates like you (who refuse to buy a home ticket and support our club) have no voice. There’s no place nowadays for the...

Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Blackburn Rovers | The EFL Championship

. Poor, defeatist, limited perspective as per. We nowadays (post Martin) utilise our entire squad to optimise and leverage our squad strength, at all times. Maxing out on Joey and backfilling with Fults to control the outcome is eminently sensible, for the more informed, insightful proper...
