    Summer Transfer Window

Sheehan has used Fulton regularly so I suspect those desperately hoping that he goes might end up disappointed. Bianchini deserves more game time than he's had but AS doesn't seem all that fussed so he might end up departing. I've never much rated Cullen and purple patch around Christmastime...

    Season 25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City v Oxford United | 12.30pm | 3rd May 2025 | The EFL Championship

I'd quite like to see Coventry miss out on the playoffs just because of the frankly bizarre way that their fans went about acting the Billy Big Balls over the signing of Grimes. Talk about trying to manufacture a rivalry.

    Harry Darling …

Darling's a good player, but not irreplaceable. If a deal can be done for Delcroix then I'd be more than happy with that.

Norwich have Kim Hellberg on their radar

We watched us play with him, every game, for years. We've also watched us play without him for three months. Watching us play without him is better. No spreadsheets needed to notice that. One of the figures most used to sing his praises was completed passes in the final third. If you're just...

    Wrecsam

We compete with Cardiff for a lot of the same supporters. Doesn't make our potential catchment area any smaller. I'm not saying that these people will become permanent Wrexham supporters. We know full well how fickle the Welsh sporting public can be. From 21,000 sell outs in the Prem to...

    Wrecsam

Their catchment is huge. Something like 700,000 people live in Wales north of Newtown. As you say though, their biggest problem historically has been the lure of Premier League clubs in Liverpool and Manchester. "The story" will drag a fair few plastics in to support them, as it did for us and...

Yep, something that Sheehan has amply demonstrated over the last two months.

    Cardiff City Relegation Party. #findyourlevel

You have to wonder whether given the likely financial ramifications of relegation if dropping one division is as bad as it's going to get for them. They look a club in turmoil, financially struggling and with supporters who actively loathe club management. In short, the potential for great...

Would give a massive "like" to video footage of said event.

Don't think Hull/Derby matters any more. Cardiff have to win both or the most they can get is 47 points which would put them behind Hull even if they lose both their remaining games.

Norwich have Kim Hellberg on their radar

Two months or so ago these forums were full of people who thought that Eom and Ronald were complete transfer busts and that Grimes was irreplaceable, so the style of play absolutely has a major part to play in the process.

Norwich have Kim Hellberg on their radar

Interestingly the general chance conversion rate for the top strikers (Haaland, Salah etc) seems to be around the 20% mark. There are however big differentials between shot conversions, what constitutes a "big" chance, and various other statistical factors that induce sleep in some and a stiffy...

Which is the point. The club can tell Sheehan that we're not actively looking to sell him all they like, but if a big enough offer comes in then he's off. AS knows this as much as anyone else does. As in the Darling situation, what can the club possibly promise/reassure Sheehan on that? We've...

There will be a bit of back and fore but Sheehan will undoubtedly be more aware of what's going on at the club behind the scenes than any of us. He'll know what we're in a position to offer him and decide whether or not to take it. It's a reality of life for 99% of clubs out there that players...

    Vigs

Woodman probably realises that he's topped out as a Championship keeper. Three or four year contract at Utd. Easily £10-15k per week. He could see that contract out, earn enough to live his life in comfort and still play on for another five or six years afterwards.

No club could possibly give that guarantee. At least, certainly not one at our level.

Sheehan deserves the chance and the Swans could be fun again

The two things are not mutually exclusive. The club cannot go on losing £15m a season. Sheehan will be backed to the best of its ability, the same as everyone else was. If he thinks we can go on a splurge, then he's not the right guy. I think he's smarter than that though.

Sheehan deserves the chance and the Swans could be fun again

That's a very fair point, and where I am slightly encouraged that the new ownership have employed two people with experience in British football to head things up.

    The 2024/25 season

Innit. We saw that at the tail end of the 22/23 season when Martin briefly stopped messing about, picked a sensible back four and played Ntcham through the middle. Was it something like eight wins out of ten and nine unbeaten with the same squad that had beaten eleven men just once in six...
