    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Blackburn Rovers 1 Swansea City 2 | Attendance: 11,013 (372 away) | Tues 30th Sept | The EFL Championship

Why not swop our wingers during the game more often? Benson is so one footed that he would receive the ball on the right, then cut back onto his favoured left, loose momentum, then pass it backwards. The same could be said of Inoussa, who’s right footed playing on the right wing.

    2013.......

And I was there ! Always remember the Valencia fans behind the goal didn’t come out initially ( I think ) for the start of the 2nd half as a protest against the owners. And after the game walking back to the city centre, with our Swans shirts on, their fans were applauding us. What a night !

Deserves a thread of its own

I hope I’m right when I say this, but these owners are different gravy. They are building for the future, and unless it’s stupid money, we build the team around him.

S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 2 Hull City 2 | Att: 15,152 | The EFL Championship

Thought Sheehan’s subs, plus trying to hold out for 20 odd minutes, cost us 2 pts, even though Vig saved us 2 pts as well. Special mention for Ethan Galbraith. He reminds me of a young Joe Allen / Leon, all rolled into one. What a classy looking player. We’ll do well to hold on to him this...

    Montague

Something decidedly strange about this whole Montague scenario. After one of the best transfer windows I can remember, then surely it was a collaborative thing, with all parties involved working together? Time will tell. As my dear old mum would say… “I suppose it will all come out in the wash”

    Montague

If this had happened when the Chuckle Bros were in charge, we wouldn’t have batted an eyelid, because football intelligence wasn’t in their dna, therefore we were used their hiring and firing. Now I feel totally different. If Montague is moving on, you can bet their bottom dollar, it will be...

    Phil Blanche - Walesonline

The evidence of historic bias against us as a club, is there for all to research if they can be bothered. The FAW offering us crumbs at the International football table. Both the British Broadcasting Cardiff Wales & ITV Wales news, (also based in Cardiff) who can’t be bothered showing some...

At least we can all say swansea City are now going to use AI 🙄

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

It just goes to show that if you play him in the right system, he’s a different player when he plays for Wales.

Hope you’re right. Not quite the same feeling if your a Celtic fan…, McStay 35K23,290 5:50 PM - Today#10734 Just get him gone. He's a terrible player who has no future here. Bite the hand off anyone daft enough to offer money for him. We sold Kyogo and Kühn without replacements in the door...

    Russell Martin

At least Gers fans had a quick death from The Second Hand Car salesman / The Emperor’s new clothes man. Russy Wussy’s P45 looms like a bad smell. Unfortunately, all the previous teams he’s conned, had to suffer death by a thousand cuts. The Harold Shipman of football managers

Final Week Fever: Swansea’s Striker Search and the Stakes Ahead

A (very) good quality loan striker would seem to suit both parties, at this late hour. Then we go again in the January window

    S25/26 | Swansea 1 (Vipotnik) Watford 1 | Att: 15,543 | The Official Match Thread | The Swansea.com Stadium | The EFL Championship

It was totally unacceptable for the sake of football. Obviously a coached tactic, as the whole team seemed to have a turn at it. Simple answer. Stop the match clock as in rugby.

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

Get rid. Get him off the books. Perhaps he hasn’t been given a chance by various managers, ‘cause he’s shite

Marko Stamenic Set to Sign: Swans Bolster Midfield with Kiwi International

If you look at videos of him, he Looks like a battling defensive midfielder. A bit of a unit, with a much needed physical presence. The engine of any team starts with midfield. we were missing a couple of cylinders under Lukewarm. Grimes in particular needed a spark plug up his arris. Now in...

    Galbraith

Never been a great Grimes fan, but he was a footballer that could play, albeit sideways and more often than not, slowly most of the time. But every time I’ve seen him play for Coventry he looks class. He certainly wouldn’t fit into a Sheehan type system though.

    Cullen v Sheff Utd

Can’t believe Cullen started after Wales’s cameo against, albeit a poor Crawley.side. And that doesn’t reflect well on Vipotnik either. I like Cullen for his do or die performances for the shirt, but even when we sign a CF, both are poor back ups, literally, going forwards.

    What's happened.......

I thought you were going to say, What’s happened with us signing all these seemingly good players? I take my hat off the the new board / owners 👏👏👏

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

What did he do that was noteworthy in the 60 odd minutes he was on ? Wales came on, and did more in his short time, than The plank could achieve in probably 2 games. A goal, layoffs, headers won, through balls, all prerequisites of a centre forward. We have to farm out Sputnik, on loan or...
