    S25/26 | Swansea 1 (Vipotnik) Watford 1 | Att: 15,543 | The Official Match Thread | The Swansea.com Stadium | The EFL Championship

Interesting conversation on Twitter, Watford fan saying Sheehan is massively out of his depth. I didn’t see tactical issues today though, I saw a need for more physicality and a giant hole up top that needs filling. Any issues we had today I thought were down to player decision making and...

Marko Stamenic Set to Sign: Swans Bolster Midfield with Kiwi International

The championship is no great standard in my opinion. It’s competitive but anyone with a bit of technical quality can get along. Stamenic looks at least as good as some others in our squad. We’ll just have to see, he should play a part on the weekend.

Marko Stamenic Set to Sign: Swans Bolster Midfield with Kiwi International

The YouTube highlight reels are all from around a year ago. He was a bit part player for Olympiacos but they trusted him enough in the Europa League. Surely the fact that Forest picked him up means there’s something there

Marko Stamenic Set to Sign: Swans Bolster Midfield with Kiwi International

Coventry almost signed him last summer before he went to Forest so they obviously thought he was up to Championship standards. Forest sign about 10,000 players every window, I doubt they’ve seen him play a lot. Plus we don’t need him to be a Premier League player. When you look at his...

Marko Stamenic Set to Sign: Swans Bolster Midfield with Kiwi International

It’s a profile we don’t have in midfield and we’ll be able to rotate between 5 good midfield options. I’m happy with the Stamenic signing. A striker will be addressed and we’ll no doubt bring in cover for the LB position. Other than that our squad isn’t looking too bad when all are fit.

We have to make that count. Although he’s pretty dirty, he can play a bit. Good he’s out.

I think it felt worse than it actually was at times because we missed a few chances that we really should have put away. With a striker, we win that 3-0. The general play improved as the game went on I thought but as you say, more work to do. The side still needs to gel.

    Galbraith

I’m hoping if we do sell next summer, we get a good price. His Man United pedigree definitely won’t hurt in negotiations

I was a bit worried about Widell against Crawley, he was busy but looked some way off the level to me. He looked much closer to where he needs to be today, against a much better team. I thought he was excellent at times and you can tell he’s played with Inoussa in the past. It’s nice knowing...

Carabao Cup Draw - Tonight ...

I don’t mind it personally. It’s not Bournemouth and it’ll be a decent test a against a very different Plymouth than last season.

From what I saw of SU against Bristol, they seemed okay going forward. It was just defensively they were off it. If we can stay solid, there’ll be chances for us at the other end

Assuming we get Yalcouye done tomorrow, he could very well be involved against Sheffield United. May even start if he’s that good.

It seemed we deliberately set up to play longer in the first half and then pivoted to playing out more in the second. If that game proved anything, Galbraith should have played at the base of midfield against Boro.

Swansea Closing in on Brighton Midfield Dynamo Malick Yalcouye

This would probably be the best outfield loan from the Premier League since the Cooper days, if we’re going off the hype anyway. Lots of our loans have been ‘high potential’ but Yalcouye seems to be a little bit further down the line than that. Hoping he can make a big impact if it goes through.

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

For me, you’re a supporter if you say you are. How far you choose to take it obviously depends on how much you engage with the club, attend games etc. There are definitely people that are negative about everything. The people that used to sit next to me down the stadium who never used to stop...

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

To have a sensible idea of how these owners operate, yes. Multiple summer windows would give us a good indication as to whether or not these guys are the same as the last ones. For me, it’s not controversial to say that it’s going to take a couple of years to really challenge in this league...

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

Well we’ve lost quite a few from the squad and one or two important players from the first team, while also needing to upgrade anyway. I think the sheer numbers involved meant that we were never going to have everyone in before Boro
