The difference is that players are flogged early in pre season to build conditioning (not match sharpness) which is why theirminutes are so carefully managed. Even 1 week closer to the season the players are sharper amd more match fit. Not also rans to champions league - but you will see a MUCH...

It is comforting to see that we are a couple of players short BEFORE we start to look at the loan market. This should allow us to focus on 1 or 2 high quality youngsters who are difference makers. in past years we have been trying tom speculate on cheaper loanees and hope to get lucky.

You need to remember that youngsters are normally introduced to the first team one or two at a time - and they are surrounded by high quality and a stable team framework. We are judging these youngsters on a performance where 7 of them came on at the same time into a team that totally lacked...
