For me the greatest manager of all time is Carlo Ancelotti and that's basically his whole thing.

I'd be surprised if a club in League One went anywhere near him after this. Certainly you'd expect any team in the Championship to steer clear for fear of significant supporter revolt in the event of his appointment as manager. Six months at Rangers could have effectively ended his career as a...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Blackburn Rovers 1 Swansea City 2 | Attendance: 11,013 (372 away) | Tues 30th Sept | The EFL Championship

Based on what we've seen so far I'm not sure that there are any "better" sides in the division. Early days of course and the relegated teams might suddenly remember how much more expensive their squads are, but we certainly shouldn't fear anyone yet.

Consistency is always the key in this division. Any team capable of putting together a couple of decent unbeaten runs will fancy themselves for a playoff spot, and in a season where the relegated sides haven't started well perhaps even more. I'm fairly convinced that we've got a squad good...

    Josh Key

If Fulton had been available for the physical battle that the Hull game became then maybe we'd have held on for the win. There are games and times when having him around will be handy. As much as I don't rate him, some will probably say the same for Cullen too. Key blows hot and cold. He can...

    Stemenic or Franco ?

Nah. Like it or not, Six into three won't go and we can't force it to a bit by making our standout midfielder so far play in another position. It's one deep lying midfielder (Stamenic, Franco or Yalcouye), one box to box (Galbraith, also maybe Franco and Yalcouye) and an AM. We don't have a...

    Stemenic or Franco ?

Both much of a muchness for me. The bigger question is which central midfielder do we sacrifice to make room for a creative one.

Superb again today. Finding it hard to put a foot wrong at the moment. Chuffed for him.

Probably not helped by what appears to be his natural attacking midfield position being ignored in the way we want to play.

A lot of it is probably a reaction to the kind of hagiographic adulation that he was held in by his supporters during his time here and how they would brook no dissent on the topic. What a "top bloke" and "nice guy" he was, when it seemed pretty obvious from early on that he was an arrogant...

Managing the Message: How Swansea City Is Curating Its Power Narrative

We've played six league games so it's obviously far too early to come to any kind of definitive opinion on how good a job Dimi has done. It's probably easier to play down who he is if you weren't around at the time he was "contributing" to these forums. Speaking as someone who was, I don't...

A lot of people blamed Abraham for our problems up front when it was clear that Clement's style of play was the problem. He probably wasn't top-top level but he's gone on to have a very decent career overall.

That particular choice says more about the manager TBH. As we've seen in recent games, Sheehan's decision making isn't perfect.

Managing the Message: How Swansea City Is Curating Its Power Narrative

My concern would be if Cravatt and Co are hanging onto Dimi as "their football guy" in much the same way as Kaplan and Co still depended on Jenkins after their takeover. When one individual holds so much sway not much good tends to come of it IMO, especially individuals with such, let's say well...

    Cardiff or Wrexham ?

Possibly an element of truth to that as most Swans fans under 30 will have no real frame of reference to Cardiff as anything than that other Welsh team we tend to beat a lot. The whole "Derby" thing has been very one sided for pushing 15-20 years now and it might have lost its spice for those...

Probably no more true than the idea that we paid £6m for him.
