    January Transfer Rumours

They couldn't even be bothered to throw in some names of players who may be included in a potential swap deal. Swap deals hardly ever happen anyway so I'd file that one under "nonsense"

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Cardiff City 3 Swansea City 0 | The EFL Championship

Reading your posts the last few days, you can't seem to decide if you're really worried or extremely confident for Saturday's game :ROFLMAO:

    Must have confidence in McLaughlin

His contract was only until the end of January so presumably the club have extended it for the rest of the season. Barring injury to Vigouroux, we won't be seeing McLaughlin play again anyway

    Cabango and Darling Injuries

If we're looking for someone who spends a lot of time at CB to play there, step forward (or, more likely, sideways or backwards) Mr Grimes

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Cardiff City 3 Swansea City 0 | The EFL Championship

Especially as everything was definitely going to be different under the new owners, it just seems to be more of the same. Although I'm not sure why people were so quick to believe Coleman, given we've had a few windows now where he's told us they're all prepared to be very active and do plenty...

    Playing out from the back

Because on the one occasion it does work, the social media team can clip it and post "The Swansea Way", which will invariably excite a large portion of our fanbase. I'd love to see a compilation video of all the other times we've done it and what the outcomes were

    Playing out from the back

I'm agreeing with you, it's completely pointless us doing it. Vigouroux may as well just take a long goal kick in the first place because at least that removes the risk of giving away a stupid goal in our own box and it's what he ends up doing most of the time anyway

    Playing out from the back

It's meant to draw the strikers into the box, allowing the keeper/defenders to pass the ball into midfield and bypass the first line of the opponent's press. Unfortunately, we don't seem able to do the second part so it usually results in Vigouroux just kicking it long and losing possession anyway

It's been less than 48 hours to be fair, they may need to wait for swelling to go down before they can do scans etc

Has he gone? Or if not when will it happen?

Not sure he'll be available for a while, he hasn't even taken charge of his first game at Stoke yet

Has he gone? Or if not when will it happen?

Basically, nobody knows what's going on 😂

    Matt Grimes

"Great" is a massive overstatement, he's a decent Championship level footballer. He struggles when he doesn't have time on the ball, which we haven't seen too much of recently because he's never anywhere to be found in the hustle and bustle of midfield, instead playing this bizarre quarter back...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | FT Swansea City 2 Luton Town 1 | The EFL Championship

I'm enjoying this far more than the QPR game, very entertaining and we could/should have scored another couple. Luton's two big lumps up front are giving Cabango and Darling something to deal with and only a brain fart from Vigouroux has cost us a clean sheet so far

    Matt Grimes

Against QPR, Grimes just swapped positions with Key when we had the ball. The full backs pushing into midfield is meant to create an overload in the middle of the pitch but we negated that by having Key go into midfield and Grimes drop back to play RB. The first half on Thursday was like...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 3 QPR 0 | The EFL Championship

As good as we've been, I have no idea what QPR's game plan is (or was). They were happy to sit in and keep their shape, even when 2/3 down. Not even an attempt to form an attack. Feel for their fans, imagine driving all this way on Boxing Day and watching that

    Our Full Backs

Teams have been doing that against us for the last 4 seasons, let us have the ball then capitalise on the inevitable mistakes

Of course it made him bigger, his hand was about 6 inches above his head and the ball hit it. As the wording of the law states: "A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Burnley FC 1 Swansea City FC 0 | The EFL Championship

I've watched it several times now, he doesn't actually do anything apart from a weird recoiling action as if he was scared to get hurt. It just makes no sense why he had his hand up above his head

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Burnley FC 1 Swansea City FC 0 | The EFL Championship

If that had happened at the other end and the ref hadn't given a penalty, the same people would have been saying it was a disgrace, ref was a cheat etc. Law 12: It is an offence if a player: touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is...
