    Oxford

Bit of a cop out (and not sure that the recent performances deserve it) but it’s essential that those of us in the ground properly get behind the side for the next two games. There’s plenty of time for recriminations in the months ahead but these Oxford and Portsmouth games are not them. 4 or 6...

    Adam Worth

This is my concern. Having never met the guy or interacted with him online I have no axe to grind. I’m just very surprised that somebody with such limited experience in football appears to have such an influence on the major decisions that shape the club. ‘Learning lessons’ appears to be a...

Matt Grimes, Captain of Coventry City.

Too balanced that 😂 Clearly a very good Championship midfielder who was restricted by tactics (under Martin & Williams in particular) and his own reluctance to be more positive. Be surprised if he plays regularly for Coventry in the Premier League, supported by the fact that none of Potter...

    Craig Bellamy

Interesting one with Lawlor. Problem he might have will be like Rodon had. If a Spurs type team picks him up he’ll end up being 4th choice and not playing. Career (if not bank balance) wise better off going to a team at the top of the Championship where you establish yourself and keep your...

Not going to plan so far. Commentators… Ipswich can go second tonight… Mark Harris scores 🤦‍♂️

    New manager assistants

Exactly, if it was someone with 300 games managing behind them it's a different matter. Not really one to overreact (usually lol) but this seems a more and more bizarre decision the more I read.

    New manager assistants

Just catching up on all this... Am I right in saying we've appointed the manager without any idea as to whether his current assistants will be able to get work permits and if they can't we have no Uk based experienced coaching staff ready to step in? If true, we're setting Matos up to fail...

    John Eustace

He’s consistently got results to be in the top half of the Championship if you look at points per game (hard to judge league position as he’s rarely completed a full season) Possibly over-performed with the players he’s had, but it’s generally very direct and not the most entertaining to watch...

They must have watched them surely! My worry (OTT after 90 minutes, I admit) is that we’ve hired another manager who wants to fit the players into his specific style/system as opposed to playing in a way that suits the strengths of the players in his squad. Definitely needs his own staff in asap.

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 1 Derby 2 | Att: 14,251 | 25/11/25 | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

Agreed. Unfortunately I’ve got less and less confidence in those making the football decisions at the club with each passing day. Someone has watched his 12? games in Portugal and/or listened to his presentation of how he wants his teams to play and thought it was a good idea to appoint...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Bristol City 3 Swansea City 0 | Att: 23,842 (2,483 Away) | 22/11/25 | The EFL Championship | Ashton Gate

Weak and switching off defensively, along with indecisiveness and no cutting edge in the final 3rd is a worrying combination. Need some new ideas and someone to install some confidence into the squad urgently

Not sure you can excuse that. Will be interesting to see what’s said in the interviews post match.

    The Ashes 2025/26

This team doesn’t seem to have been affected by hammerings in the last but the psychological impact of this will be key. Stating the obvious but they have to win the second test to avoid this series running away from them very quickly.

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

The Second Tier podcast were talking the Lincoln manager up last week. Sounds like a very very direct style of play though. Challinor has had continued success at Stockport and surprised no ‘bigger’ club has come in for him. You’d think they’d both be in the mix if we’re casting the net wider.

Maybe the right manager but definitely the wrong time IMO. Question marks over man-management as well so would pass personally as well.

    World Cup playoff draw

Getting a 3rd consecutive final at home (if we get there) is about as good as it gets. Personally I think I’d prefer our chances at home to Italy than away to Denmark, Turkey or Ukraine. Definitely can’t take Bosnia lightly but it’ll be a hell of an atmosphere on the Tuesday night if we get...

The fact that Paramount are looking at buying Warner Brothers (who own TNT) means there possibly wont be much of a change. Sky have picked up all the other European football - Europa & Conference League today as well.
