It's becoming increasingly obvious that Andy Fisher's biggest problem was Russell Martin.

When asked to play in a straightforward way instead of a suicidally stupid one he's proven himself to be a capable keeper, both here and when out on loan. Kept us in the game against Plymouth, made a save arguably as important as a goal last night.

Don't think it would hurt for more people to maybe recognise that.
Silly post, some people could never recognise that, they’d have to accept they were wrong and that’s not going to happen.

I'm glad Fisher is our backup rather than our number 1, but I do think people are more critical of him because of his initial stint our Martin. I don't think anyone says anything negative about it if Vigouroux does exactly what Fisher did for their first goal.
Fisher just isn't a Championship caliber starting GK. If Vigouroux concedes at his near post like Fisher did, then people will rightly criticise.

Bottom line Vigouroux is a much better keeper than Fisher

Disagree with your first two statements, no one would be crazy enough to disagree with the third one though. Vigs is a hell of a keeper.

I think that most fans and even our coaching staff have realised that Fisher is never going to be a number 1 keeper for the Swans under the current coaching staff and as such will most probably be allowed to walk away(unless of course he moves in January) at the end of the season.
He saw us through in the penalty knock out v Argyle, made a very good save from Odoi v Forest, and hopefully will be replaced by young Evan Watts as next season's back-up keeper. Best of luck to him.

Watts is a 20 year old currently playing in the League of Ireland. Big ask for him to be our backup next season. If the manager and coaches think he's good enough when the time comes then great, but I can't see it happening.

As long as the wages are reasonable, I'd have no problem extending Fisher.
