Russell Martin was frustrated with the defensive sloppiness that saw Harry Darling gift the only goal of the game to Preston in the 1-0 loss at Deepdale but was overall extremely pleased with the performance. Indeed the Swans boss went as far as to say that if the team perform in that manner, he’s...

In the cold light of day that's my biggest worry. That is exactly the way he wants us to play. Walking football, passing for passing sake, stats driven bollocks. He sounds like he's really learned nothing about effectiveness.

The good run we have been on has clouded many fans judgement on how effective we are the way he expects us to play.

Sums him up perfectly.

We didn't deserve to lose & they created virtually nothing, I'll give him that, but I don't see how he could possibly be pleased by the cr@p first half.
Not as if it's a one-off, keeps happening

When he was under real pressure he was forced to adapt to a more high tempo game with pressing and runners and balls into channels.

With the pressure off after that unbeaten run he is reverting to type with his walking football short passing for the sake of passing tripe.

A big part of me is hoping norwich do come in for him so we can get someone like cameron toshack in

Yeah I wouldn't be sorry to see him go, last night's football for a painful watch.

You all get far too carried away when we beat cr@p teams like the scum. Martin is a chancer.

On the flipside though people go over the top when we lose. We are in sixth position.

I don't agree with everything Martin does, far from it, but a win against Wigan, and hopefully one of the away games before the WC break up will leave us in good position going into the Jan Transfer Window.

Spot on.

First half was as pleasant to watch as the dentist pulling teeth with no anaesthetic.
We didn't start playing until about 50mins in.
We're going to see Saturday if that was a 1 off or Martin has reverted to the bollox we were playing at the start of the season.

Bright spot.
I really don't see how Martin cannot start Oko after last night, without looking egotistical.

I always hear people complain when managers call out players for being awful in the press. So in my head I see him being cunning and saying this stuff with a coy smile and then when the changing room doors come closed he plugs in the blow dryer.
