• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If the new owners are serious about doing this properly and learning from Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, the the first thing they should do is go and get a Director of Football/Sporting Director to make the footballing decisions on a day to day basis.
When we had Trevor Birch here & to a lesser extent, Julian Winter, we at least looked somewhat competent off the pitch.

This is the issue though isn’t it. People have made their mind up before they even give it a chance because of the nationality of the new owners.
I think it's more to do with them being the same people who are on the board already. They will be rightly tainted by the way the club has been run recently. Whether this let's the shackles off for them to do something different, let's hope so. And the money doesn't sound impressive. £20M is chicken feed in the scheme of things, especially if it's wasted as it has been under Coleman's chairmanship.

This could be new and exciting, or it could be rearranging the deckchairs and more of the same, especially if the day-to-day running is still undertaken by Coleman. Let's hope it's the former.

In fairness much has been said of Coleman having his hands tied by Levian.....It seems maybe Coleman may be putting his money where his mouth is....having challenged Levian and Kaplan.

Let's remember Coleman has only been around for what 18 months...during which time there were other more senior shareholders....this looks like a management buyout....

People are being harsh on Coleman imo. Time will tell if he has the ability to turn the club around, but he has been here a while, knows the position that the club are in and has still decided to back the club. He has to be given props for that surely?
