It's a cut throat business, football. No one held a gun to Coleman's head to make him come here to begin with. He chose to come, and he was very nicely salaried for it.
So I don't have a lot of sympathy for the criticism he's received to date, mainly because most of his decisions have been dog shite and he's brought it on himself.
That said, giving him the benefit of the doubt for a second, if a large part of the problem was the Chuckle Brothers then now they've gone it could be the making of him. To his credit, he seems serious about this, otherwise he wouldn't be buying them out. He could just easily have left with them.
I remain a sceptic - but I'm willing to treat this as a clean slate and give him another chance to prove he's up to this gig.
We'll find out soon enough.
