• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Call me cynical, but this feels a little bit like one useless American entity passing on their plaything to a friend. Would love to be proven wrong

This is the issue though isn’t it. People have made their mind up before they even give it a chance because of the nationality of the new owners.

Been lucky enough to meet him. Very smart guy, with a proven track record of building companies, mental networking, seems to know anyone and everyone which shows with the people coming in alongside him. There’s huge plans for the club and I got full confidence they’ll make it work here.
Lets hope that confidence is right and its mroe than just words1 That'll keep us all happy!

Always going to be on the cards since they came on board - they clearly weren't going to come here to be part of a syndicate. This can only be good news.

I’ve heard there’s far more financial clout behind the new ownership - dwarfing Levien and Kaplan’s wealth

Well, 20 million is going in.. I can see it now, Williams gets handed a 10 million striker who he plays on the wing, a 5 million attacking midfielder who he uses as a false 9 and uses the rest of the 5 million on a piss up with the fans on wind street so he can convince them he is actually Pep Guardiola

Not dismissing this based on the fact that he's American, it just makes for it to be a harder pill to swallow considering who the previous non-entities were.

Happy to trust you and take your word that he's the real deal, will support him from the start

To be fair Morris isn't American, he's English with a Welsh mother from Llan Ffestiniog, and has recently provided investment to a church in that village.
