21/22 The Official Swansea City vs Hull City Match Thread

Need to move the ball quicker. It's too pedestrian at the moment and it's easy to defend against.

Hull only tried to break out of their half once or twice, it’s going to take a while to recondition some of these players to break down a team like that. We’ll beat better teams than that this season. The jury is out on RM at the moment, as it should be, but I’m keeping an open mind and to me there appears to be signs of improvement.

Lucky to get the points at Bristol. Been second best most of the time.
Hull defended well and Huddlestone is a player you want on your team.
The ref made a few decisions and we looked like we were playing for penalties and free kicks.
The lack of pace is a problem that we may struggle to fix.
Downes played well apart from losing his man at the end when one on one.

Undoubtedly an improvement but Bidwell is struggling in that formation as was Bennett.

Funny, I thought it was Bennet’s best game for a while.

I didn’t like seeing him so far wide or advanced as he was but I thought he came out of it well.
Well he didn't have much to do defensively, he wasn't really tested so that side of his game was ok. I thought he was slow in possession, he's not great with the ball at his feet & he had a lot of the ball.

You must be delighted.

Anyone who doesn’t see that performance, not result - performance, as a good one and a step in the right direction must have s**t in their eyes.

Well yes but football matches are supposed to be about the result see.

...tabulated the end of the season.

Anyone suggesting I am happy we are not winning football matches is suffering from brain damage. I have been unwavering in my standpoint that I couldnt care how we get points as long as we do. We got wins under Cooper. We are not getting wins.

Well there is always Manchester City to support if you think that way...

I know capt'n,... I'm only taking the piss.

Dorftrottel, the referee made a few bad decisions and we looked like a team DESERVING of a penalties and free kicks.

Yes, we lacked pace.

Reading these replies i almost thought we hlt tanked 3-0 at home, yes it was disappointing not to pick up all the points but that what a pretty decent showing.
Without such a poor referee we wouldve won the game and nobody would be moaning.
Ntcham looks like he could be great for us, Downes had a good game as well as Laird. Looking forward to see Obafemi come in as he looks to have some real pace which is something we have been missing.
Overall pretty decent.

That is a disgraceful decision by a consistently incompetent official.
