25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Hull 2 Swansea 1 | Att: 21,912 | 24/01/26 | The EFL Championship | The MKM Stadium

We are the divisions prime bottom feeders. Dispatch the detritus at the bottom with ease.

Anything higher though and we can't eat it.

I can't process that.

We also lost because we couldn't score. Conceding and scoring have the same impact on the scoreline.

Edit, replying to FoJP. I'm having a poor IT day.

At some point someone at the club will surely realise we are completely lacking in creative quality from wide (Tymon apart and sometimes Eom) and through the centre.

It’s been apparent all season and nothing seems to change.

We can’t go the rest of this season without another forward and a right back. Calls into question again why we’ve signed Ward if he doesn’t come on today.
Time to stop the Galbraith experiment. We’re better in midfield with him at right back but for the last half a dozen games he’s been really poor at right back. So we have to try something different in midfield if he’s going to play.

And we currently have no centre back options.

Have to be looking at recalling Lissah surely.
Your not gonna throw on Ward with the speed they had on the wings. So why did we get Ward? Good back up. But yes we need to get someone younger and decent so Galbraith can go into midfield. Galbraith had off day due to recent knocks. Key is not the answer. Looks good on attack but his defending is awful. Thought Eom did well in second half. Thought we gifted that game to them rather than us not being good enough.

Galbraith has had a lot of off days recently. He’s been poor since the start of the year.

Only saw the second half and we could have got something out of the game.
That's the fan in me.
Reality says it was mostly huff and puff and not enough sharpness.
Again we try and overplay or take wrong options.
It really is frustrating as you can see it could be different.
For Hull to be pushing at the top says a lot.
They offered very little in the second half, they just sat back and blocked. Organised but top runners no way

Right, so focusing entirely on the 'we can't score' trope isn't telling the whole story when we literally gave them a free goal, without which I'm very confident we're not sitting here with no points. It was THE moment of the game.

Ten wins this season, one against a team in the top half. The other nine all against teams below us. That’s enough to keep us in mid table so not the end of the world, but very frustrating when we can compete with and look good against playoff teams like Hull & Stoke but come away with 0 points.

Ward is still baffling to me. If he was brought in as a 4th Choice cb (a Santos replacement) I'm fully behind it but that doesn't seem to be the case. The club want a 36yr old to be our 2nd choice RB and 3rd choice CB at the same time.

I said tbis about Lissah aswell it's not like we'd be calling him back to sit on the bench he'd be hands down starting RB for us. So I don't understand this argument people make that we would be "stopping his development" by calling him back.

There was one wanky flicked backheel that nearly caused me some internal damage.

I'm not disagreeing that it was awful and a self inflicted disaster, but it had no more impact that Vip missing two chances that my sister could score, and she has a broken ankle. Goals change games and shift momentum, but at both ends.
