A question for those.who sit close to the pitch

I'm currently at a friend's house, a few hundred yards from a Sunday league game. We've all heard similar at these sorts of open space games.. loads of shouting by players and coaches.

It's easily heard there.. but as I sit way up the East Stand, I can never hear similar at the Liberty.

Obviously the size and noise of the crowd is a factor..but is this a Sunday league thing - or does similar happen all the time on the stadium pitch ?

You used to be able to hear Dorus Dr Vries organise a wall from Rossi, to this day nobody knows wtf it actually meant, even the players
