I just find it utterly bizarre how so many people are losing their shit at the moment, someone else has even called us "terrible", when most of our games this season have been settled either way by one goal margins.

To me, "terrible" is losing 4-0 at Portsmouth, or 5-1 at Norwich, or 3-0 at Cardiff under Williams. Or shipping 5 at home to Fulham and Bournemouth under Martin.

I'm not saying we're brilliant. But we're definitely not terrible either.

I thought I could hear boos and jeers on the box through the Norwich radio feed when we were passing side and back shortly before Vips goal. Was that not happening? I was so pleased to see that rattle in. So unexpected, so relieving.

You heard correct.

There were groans of go forward and shouts of sort it out Sheehan around me yesterday.

Regards the post about getting the subs ready before the goal, I believe a like for like swap with Idah for Vipotnik wasn't going to make any difference....we were creating very little to no chances second half so I didn't see that change making any difference one bit.
As soon as Vipotnik got the 2nd goal, Idah sat back down and came on 10mins later, I believe this tells us that Vipotnik wasn't going to be taken off because he was knackered.

We’re average. Blindingly, mind numbingly average. We’re not awful. We’re not great. Good is stretching it most of the time. We have mostly average players, an average manager. We’re an average second tier club. If you could put pictures instead of words in dictionary definitions you could put a picture of the Swans’ badge next to the word average and it would define it perfectly.

Agree. I just don't think that qualifies us as terrible. We're 13th, 4-4-4 with a neutral goal difference. We're just perfectly mediocre.

I didn't hear that in the east. I heard boredom in the form of general chatter like you hear in Swansea market on Saturday afternoon.
The second goal was a thunderbolt out of a clear blue sky.

If it wasn't already blindingly obvious, that's exactly where I am as well, simply could not agree more there. We are painfully "mid" (to use the lingo my teenage kids use).

We are not terrible, far from being decent though.

Yup it was brief but it happened after we turned a fairly promising attacking situation into fairly pointlessly getting the ball all the way back to Vigoroux. Didn’t warrant the reaction it got really but I suppose that’s the modern Swans/football fan. Instant gratification demanded or the toys come out of the pram. How these people would have coped watching us through most of the 80s and 90s I shudder to think.

Yep, definitely was and a lot of discontent when Idah was preparing to come on for Vipotnik.

We are doing ok in the grand scheme of things but I am disappointed in the lack of urgency and attacking intent that many were calling was missing with us 10/12 months ago.
