All three are technically weak and all lack that bit of pace that Guehi had, do we drop Naughton in because of his technique? But he's also terrible at the defensive side of a centre half.. the only suggestion is to recruit a ball playing centre back with a bit of pace to cover Bennett and Cabango's obvious two weaknesses

If Martin wants to play out from the back, we need more bodies there, I think we can get away with one slow, technically poor centre back, not two

Cabango I thought looked decent enough… I expect Naughton will drop in there… plus a new signing.

Bennett for me draws a lot of parallels with Monk, he doesn't have pace and technically he isn't very good but he is an astute reader of the game. I feel that with time he can adapt his game to not be the weak link, put ball players either side of him and in front of him and he will suit us just fine for this season.

Martin will know Bennett better than anyone having played with him at Norwich, but him and Latti didn’t give me confidence today but they’ve only had 3 full sessions getting to know the system.

Latibeudiere has been utterly awful in every gave he has played since pre season. He needs replaced sharpish.

At least one needs to be a ball player like Williams was. Set the pace and let the others do the physical stuff. Can't have all old school hoofers in this system. Benda has his flaws, but I feel weird about how excitable I was seeing his little crazy 6 yard passes in the box instead of the crap served up by freddy the last couple of years

Given his experience though Bennet was exceptionally poor against Blackburn. For Cabango and I’m particular Latib… it’s forgivable but when they see Bennet struggling like that it’s not going to go well. Monk was a very good centre half and we were always a better team with him in it, but his major strength was the way in which he brought along Ash and Caulker. He made them better players.

Three at the back was developed by Barcelona, Ronald and Johan Cruyff. Guehi could do it at 20 and is worth 20 million and 50k a week. I suggest we need a loan signing.

Rhys Williams on loan from Liverpool wouldn’t be a bad shout, looked decent for a 19 year old when I saw him play and will already have been coached a passing game by Klopp.
